Yes coz the Optech is like wearing a diving wetsuit. The neoprene so darn hot after a while. The Crumpler strap on the other hand is a breathable mesh material underneath so we dont got all hot n sweaty. The quality sure is a whole lot better than the Optechs too.

for ballheads, it is always better if you can stretch your budget a little and get those with friction control. Most ballheads come with only two knob: main knob to loosen the head, and a secondary knob to lock the base of the ballhead from turning around.

Some higher-end ballheads like the Manfrotto 468MGs, Markins, and Arca Swiss comes with a third knob: the friction knob. This friction knob controls the tension in the ballhead socket. If you set it correctly, your entire setup on the ballhead will slowly slide down if you release the main knob; other cheaper ballheads will loosen up the entire head and BAM! you'll see your whole setup slamming against your tripod if you are not careful.

One of my friend encountered this problem with his cheap Manfrotto... end up his filter got smashed and there is a small dent on the filter rim. It took him quite some time to remove and replace the filter.
