Uncle Ian, why can't use 70-200 F2.8L IS USM on 40D?
How come buy 1000D body solely to be used with "Whitey"?

When you mounted the 70-200 F2.8L IS USM on the 1000D, how'd you hold the entire camera? By the tripod stand?

bluebirdck2, how much did you pay for the lens and the Speedlite?
Please post the price and location, thanks in advance.
Btw, cheapest I heard is RM300 for 50mm F1.8 (Canon Malaysia, 3 years warranty).
Cheapest I heard for the Speedlite 580EXII is RM1.45k.

If the Speedlite fails to register, you better send it back to shop and ask them to register. If not mistaken, Speedlite got 15 months warranty (12 + 3)...

So Uncle Ian, will you still be getting the original BG for your 5D MkII from Canon after purchasing the 3rd-party one from Phottix?

Uncle Ian, I'm quite surprised it actually lasted in the rain.
I was thinking they just put "weatherproof" as a marketing gimmick.
Seems like camera equipment/accessories are much cheaper in Penang, I've gotta make a trip there soon!
