Try not to spend to much on camera.. If I go for the Micro-Third.. Knowing myself, I would definitely start a lens collection.. Then there goes all my hard earn money.. haha..

And that was the same reason why I didn't go for DSLR in the first place..

I'm more keen on graphic design or PP.. so any good camera that can give me RAW images should be good enough..

That was the best price I could get at Lowyat.. others give 1550-1600 for the same package, some also gives mini tripod.. The dealer says it's PC Fair price..

haha...i guess i had wrong timing of getting the cam...

nvm la, during PC fair also i bought a cheapo Rm4.90 canon soft bag that can at least protect it against scratch...but i guess i'll stick with the original hard cover..

i recall seeing they nylon casing somewhere also, say it's meant for LX-3 or something...i think it's ebay...

Nope.. bought in Lowyat.. didn't realize this store offers better package.. was planning to go to Lowyat and BB Plaza last nite.. Parked at Lowyat, then surveyed at Lowyat first.. got offered 1480 at Lowyat, didn't think twice..

try to negotiate with the dealer for an extra 4GB card.. as for the casing.. some store gives u the noemal lumix hard case.. not the leather case.. but do survey.. some of my friends also recommends BB Plaza over Lowyat..

i got mine for RM25 only...

the exact-fit leather case has draw back too. The case actually locks itself onto ur tripod mount. and u need to take it out every time when u wanna charge ur battery and take out ur SD cards. and plug in the USB cable too.

tat case do looks good on LX3

but it also makes the battery SD card compartment hard to reach, which is a big drawback for some.

i got my lenspen for RM25..
and regarding the lens ring problem i think the service centre can't unscrew it..received call from panasonic today, asked me to go to the shop and replace another LX3 for me,brand new set..
now very satisfying with it already, can play with wide angle lens and tele lens already..
feel quite lucky coz get a replacement camera..wonder if i'm not buying at panasonic authorised shop don't know normal shop will replace a new camera for me or not...lol..

Anyone can let me know,where are the authorized shops in Lowyat Plaza or BB Plaza.How do i ascertain which is the real deal?

I'm a bit worried if something happens to my LX3 like @alvin_yong's case
