now with the new firmware, should be more fun, especially with the 1:1 composition

heres some test High Dynamic shot comparism. comparing with normal P mode, HD mode, and a real HDR shot merged in Photomatix in Merge Exposure mode, with the shots shot at +-2EV

first, the control. spot metering aimed at sky


and now the built in HD mode in Art mode


And finally a real HDR shot with +-2EV done with Photomatix


not bad i'd say. the HD mode is very close to the HDR's sky colour, the house and tree at the bottom left had been lightened up, but still not as much as a real HDR.

overall, it ain't bad for a fake HDR, in between a real HDR and a normal shot lol.

anyway, heres a simple quick test shot on the AWB vs manual WB under flourescent

the manual WB is closer to reality and easier to the eyes

although, i did notice that the AWB is signicantly better than before. either way, i'll still be using MWB more often

and also tested out the WB with flash on, and the greenish hue when using the flash is pretty much non-existant already!

got mine with an 8gb at 1.6. with screen protector and a canon pouch instead of the ori lumix pouch(thank god!).

but now screen protector gonna tukar to martin fields liao. waiting for stock arrival lol.

awkwardly, in set 1:1 to C1 without any probs.

no messing around with reso, nothin.

just straight go to A mode, set 1:1, then program to C1 lol. settle XD

general rule for now is if you see one on sale for <1.6k with a 4gb, or better yet an 8gb, grab it immedietly.

the dude was kind enough to gave me a Canon pouch instead lol.

pretty big, even have an extra compartment to put the rest of my stuff(card reader,lenspen mini, optical cloth, white card).

or you can go to carrefour and pick one of their own camera case. i heard its pretty cheap and not bad for the price lol.

the base shud be removable. try to search for a lever. what model is ur tripod?

tengok the lever at the side. pull that, pull the base out. then tighten from the bottom to ur camera.

how to increase sharpness, saturation, all the manual got teach.

and the vertical lines appearing when you point the cam at a bright light source is normal for a CCD sensor. it will appear in video/live view, but it won't appear in photos.

and no, lazy is not an excuse to not read the manual.

well, most of the questions u asked are pretty basic. and honestly, they give a manual for a reason.
