hopefully they fix the WB change when flas is enabled.
or maybe its meant to be like that to cancel out the flash's colour? O.o

the new HDR mode seems to be a fake HDR.
the shutter only released once and ISO stuck at 400 will try outdoors tomorrow lol. heres some test High Dynamic shot comparism. comparing with normal P mode, HD mode, and a real HDR shot merged in Photomatix in Merge Exposure mode, with the shots shot at +-2EV
first, the control. spot metering aimed at sky » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « and now the built in HD mode in Art mode » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « And finally a real HDR shot with +-2EV done with Photomatix » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « not bad i'd say. the HD mode is very close to the HDR's sky colour, the house and tree at the bottom left had been lightened up, but still not as much as a real HDR. overall, it ain't bad for a fake HDR, in between a real HDR and a normal shot lol. |

AWB » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Manual WB with a white card » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « the manual WB is closer to reality and easier to the eyes although, i did notice that the AWB is signicantly better than before. either way, i'll still be using MWB more often and also tested out the WB with flash on, and the greenish hue when using the flash is pretty much non-existant already! QUOTE(jytanx @ Oct 5 2009, 08:35 PM) Hi there. Am new to this section of the forum. general rule for now is if you see one on sale for <1.6k with a 4gb, or better yet an 8gb, grab it immedietly. My friend lately introduce me to LX-3. I was wondering if anyone know where is the best place to get this cam at the best price? The picture quality really look awesome. many places out of stock lol. or either you can buy online from a few reputable dealers in the garage sales section. |

the dude was kind enough to gave me a Canon pouch instead lol.
pretty big, even have an extra compartment to put the rest of my stuff(card reader, lenspen mini, optical cloth, white card). or you can go to carrefour and pick one of their own camera case. i heard its pretty cheap and not bad for the price lol. |

QUOTE(Nairdamil @ Oct 7 2009, 12:17 AM) guys...i wanna ask u guys sumting...when when i take pics indoor...under the light...when my camera point directly to the light..where the is few lines on my lcd?? no offence bro, but boleh RTFM tak lol.most of the questions u ask is already inside the manual. how to increase sharpness, saturation, all the manual got teach. and the vertical lines appearing when you point the cam at a bright light source is normal for a CCD sensor. it will appear in video/live view, but it won't appear in photos. and no, lazy is not an excuse to not read the manual. |

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Oct 7 2009, 10:55 AM) LOL what's up with the resentment from being asked to read the manual? It's the single most referred to document when it comes to trivial technical inquiries, esp when it's trivial. Google is next. my cam already have 4000 shutter count in a month! But I think fiddling with the buttons and controls is the best way to explore the camera. For guys with an attention span of <5 minutes, nothing beats wasting 1000 shutter counts to finally know the camera inside out. btw, wonder if they could include AVCHD encoding inside v2.1 |
