Just bought a Touch 2... Notice 2 things.
1. Signal strength is not strong even when I'm in the city.
2. The GPS signal is also very very week.

anyone experience this problem and know how to fix it?

1. which service provider are you using?

i am using Digi. calls always get disconnected when i am on 3g network. i once read an article saying that this phone is so-called weak to 'tarik' 3g network. so i changed the network type to GSM only and not Auto.

2. mine is ok.

well just move those update files to your memory card. weirdly though, i been able to use mp3 as my ringtone even before installing the updates..weird..

mine too.. i did not require any updates also can use mp3 as my ringtone.. just that i am unable to use mp3 for my alarm

Had been using the phone for 2 weeks now... and I'm quite happy with the rest of the phne functions except the GPS. It's absoluly useless unless you drive a convertable. Can get signal only in open areas. if you're in the car you you'll keep getting the message "SIGNAL LOST".

Anyone can give me the serial number for G alarm V2.3? THanks

That's pretty weird. The signal strength for GPS is fine with my Touch2.... but I do need to remind members here not to Update for HTC Touch2 MP3 Ringtone Setting. Just bought my Touch 2 a few days ago for RM1499..

But, I noticed that the phone and GPS signal is not very strong, as Sanfan described. I'm also using Maxis.

I wonder if its something to do with Maxis..

touch2 user, can you all shutdown your device completely?

its seem that even ive press hold then Off Device but if i press the windows button my device wakeup.

so weird? how come cannot shut down...

my gps signal strength on garmin is very good..
Im using maxis....so that shouldn't be the problem.

gps signal seems ok here also. and yeah, after applying the update i notice that it has that issue and i don't have any issue in shutting down my phone o_O..hey,should we have a gathering for touch 2 users
