Patent isn't exactly what you imagined it to be. It's specific with a lot of .. specifics.

If a handset able to offer multi-touch function, it doesn't mean an immediate patent infringement.

I'm replying your post not to deny the fact that no other phone can offer multi-touch because of that particular patent. I'm merely pointing out the fact that the patent haven't expired yet.

you are stuck with the same 5800 home screen from the 1st day u bought it.

x6 is another test models for the capacitive touch screen, like what the tube does...then release another N series flagship model next year wit capacitive touch~

to tell the truth, the appearance of X6 really does halt me to purchase the N97~ multitouch on nokia does looks attracting thou, now they have kinetic scrolling... hope to see more like multiple homescreen with tons of widget(like what htc hero does) >.<

the matter of the fact is, as time progresses, the models which are released bcome better and have more functions.

yeah, but mostly I'll have either HTC hero or N97 mini at the end of the year...~ both are great deal... technology is improving every sec, you just can't wait the so called ' best' phone to appear... ><

i heard that X6 will release on 12 november 2009 , and also nokia will announce X6 16GB version on 23 february 2010 ~
