it's not about the specs, people do not care about the functionality.
iphone 3G lost to many other cheaper touchscreen phones by miles, yet it is still popular and people are more willing to get an iphone rather than getting other better phones at cheaper price
*
ppl like iphone bcos of the 'cool' factor. other than that...it has limited functions.

that's true. just the "cool" factor can already fetch such a high price doh.gif
X6 does look better than the Tube, but i doubt that it will be the iPhone killer.
eh wth, sounds like i am an Apple fanboy here tongue.gif to clarify, i do not own an iPhone nor intend to own one (too pricey and not worth the money), i am using Nokia 5800 laugh.gif
*
hey, this phone is slimmer than iphone and not bulky like other nokia phones, so i think can recommend to ladies easily.

blue color with white lining, i like wub.gif

now i have a second thought, should go for Satio or X6, tough decision!
*
dude, i'm just wondering the exact same thing.
satio without 3.5mm jack is a major no-no for me, else it will win hands down.

this is one of those things that sony does to have a foot in their accessory sales...which is very expensive when you think about it...

they have their own memory format, the M2, they hv their own connectivity port (not using the micro USB like the rest of the world)...things like that...

but still, uneducated consumers don't mind forking out money for things that other brands just do better...fact!

just like the apple iphone, it can't multitask when other phones like samsung and nokia have been doing it for ages...fact!
*
well, at least they have dumped their m2 from the SE phones.

wat i can say is an expensive phone
*
yupe, the specs are quite similar to the 5800, where 5800 is only rm1k++
the difference are only the capacitive touchscreen, bigger internal memory, 5mp pixel camera and smaller phone.
whether pay another 1k for the phone is worth or not depends on different ppl.
if someone really wants a small touchscreen bar phone with touchscreen and high mp camera, so far this is the only one.

Added on September 4, 2009, 3:37 pmif u really wan to try the Capacitive Touchscreen and apps better wait for touch 3rd gen. no point spend a 2K+ jz for this.
*
this might be just another 'test' model.
first the 5800, then the 5230/5530, then this x6.
how many months after x6 do u think they will come up with a variation?

i wonder, why nokia use capacitive toychscreen on music phone, i mean it should be introduced since they announced the n97...
*
capacitive touchscreen cannot use stylus, so if u wanna do handwriting or click on something small wen surfing the net, most probably wen u use finger, u will miss. tats why resistive with stylus is prefered by a lot of ppl also. capacitive doesn't automatically mean good. tats apple brainwashing u.

x6 is another test models for the capacitive  touch screen, like what the tube does...then release another N series flagship model next year wit capacitive touch~

to tell the truth, the appearance of X6 really does halt me to purchase the N97~ multitouch on nokia does looks attracting thou, now they have kinetic scrolling... hope to see more like multiple homescreen with tons of widget(like what htc hero does) >.<
*
the matter of the fact is, as time progresses, the models which are released bcome better and have more functions.
but the question is, how long can u wait?

yeah, but mostly I'll have either HTC hero or N97 mini at the end of the year...~ both are great deal... technology is improving every sec, you just can't wait the so called ' best' phone to appear... ><
*
well, i'm still waiting cos there's no 100% phone for me yet...
