QUOTE(Leo the Lion @ Oct 6 2009, 12:24 PM) I think if Apple release too many different kind of phone (with Qwerty, or with keypad or etc2), they'll endup loosing alot of fans due to "variety" Apple have made. Just like Sony, HTC, Nokia and etc. Anyway, from the looks of X6, the touch feeling will be alot different then N97, responsive and I've just heard Nokia will implement multitouch with new firmware updates. another case of nokia discrimination again. how about N900,N97?flagship doesnt have multitouch but X6 got??

Resitive does have multitouch features, but it depends on the implementation. I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software issues. if it's software issues, it can be implement with firmware updates.

u know y nokia use capacitive on X6?? cause X6 has the same fate as Nokia 5800 Xm, act as a white mouse, see how the consumer reacts and feed back, if a sucess, then nokia will cont use cap screen on the future phone~ ++ S60 5th symbian is still in the early stage development, Nokia must consider combining the multi-touch with the S60 5th~ what for if multi-touch with the same old S60 5th interface, add few 100$ just for the fun of N-gage gaming and zooming image and type a little faster??

multitouch cannot be supported on resistive screen. Basically the screen senses the pressure point at one point from all corner. Capacitive is different as it senses infra red heat, just like your laptop touchpad. this means you don't need to use your nails or have precision pointing. Furthermore it can sense multiple point at one go.
Resistive is good on precision drawing or works well in cold climate as you don't need to pull out your gloves just to use it. Keeps frost bite out. Capacitive outshines resistive in many ways, both navigating around screen or infamous pinch & Zoom. However, resistive screen now have gesture support e.g New samsung models or n900, whereby gesture command makes navigation easy. You just need to what each gesture does.

Now. I don't think this is a very wise choice to buy the phone. it's basically have more memory and a wee better camera than 5800/N73 plus all the bugs fixed. Nowadays ( I meant these few months) we saw lots of new and more capable phones with that kinda price.
A nono for me guys.

Wow very steep pricing from them. I was hoping it would be like 2.5k or so but then direct conversion can't always be correct.
