multitouch cannot be supported on resistive screen. Basically the screen senses the pressure point at one point from all corner. Capacitive is different as it senses infra red heat, just like your laptop touchpad. this means you don't need to use your nails or have precision pointing. Furthermore it can sense multiple point at one go.
Resistive is good on precision drawing or works well in cold climate as you don't need to pull out your gloves just to use it. Keeps frost bite out. Capacitive outshines resistive in many ways, both navigating around screen or infamous pinch & Zoom. However, resistive screen now have gesture support e.g New samsung models or n900, whereby gesture command makes navigation easy. You just need to what each gesture does. |
