A wise way is to ask someone experienced in the gym to help you correct your form.

But the main rule to get your back straight is to chest up and buttocks out.

wil try again tomorrow.

Some people hate squatting in front of a mirror. I don't really care (I look downwards anyway, helps my hip drive up better because I'm not too arched and thus killing my drive) However, chances are if your technique is already fine, don't bother using the mirror. The mirror's used among weightlifters because they want to analyze at real-time speed, their technique and its changes at whatever angles.

i like that too. cz from the reflection i will be able to tell whether have i reached my border line smile.gif

Doing all those deadlifts with a rounded back?
*
havnt started deadlifts
i think it was caused by squatting... the joint (near to the hips) there is still painful

pain at join near hips usually cause by deadlifting .. not squatting.. maybe u squat wrongly?
*
oh deadlifting i only did that once. At that time, I only did 5-6 times. I think was caused by squatting cz previously i squatted for more than 50 times per day.

Was wondering, are you actually following the stronglift 5x5?
Just curious.

i tot it meant 15 x 5 and only 1 month after, in here, and re-read and realised that it should be 5 x 5 shakehead.gif

The mechanics of the movement are the same. Or rather very similar. I really don't think that statement is true. Also I started getting hip clicks with repeated squats with mAximal weights. The volume destroyed my hips
*
what do u mean by hip clicks?
meaning having the same prob as me? how you solved it?

have increased my weight for squat - 40kg for both sites
and chest press - 30kg

hate doing squat at different centres cz they have different bars, so when i am used to a bar at A place, doing it at B place, wil stil hurt my back (bone ard neck area).

a dump question to ask.
how to squat using the powerrack? Saw a personal tranner, teaching one to step out a bit, stepping in front of the line sticked on the floor (instead of directly under the bar), and lean back a little, to do it.

It is so different to what I saw from the videos.

wondering which is the correct method.

also, realise that whenever i squat up, i will use the muscle ard my waist, just cant help it, as a result, the joints/muscle around that area, are very painful.

advise is needed.
thanks.
