he doesn't have the vision, the speed, unpredictable and inconsistent
his tricks is mostly of those useless step overs
i didn't even remembet nani crossing even once that is ended with a goal...

his only assets is his powerful shot

I beg to disagree. Nani crossing is one of his most valuable asset. I do rate his crossing is the best after injured Hargo in the squad. He have great dribbling skills, just see how he fool around with Ars at the FA cup. He pwned them with his skill and crossing ability. IMO, Nani is one of the best option we had in the wing right now.

Back to Tosic. One thing about him is that people always said that he is small and lack of physical present. But just remember that tomorrow Evra going to face even smaller winger but extremely dangerous which is Lennon. He is smaller and less buffer compared to Tosic and yet he have chance to prove himself on the field. I don't know what is running in SAF mind but I have faith in his talent management. He seldom get the wrong talent and I believe Tosic is the one for future, maybe this season he can get more run out, who knows.

p/s: my comment is all about giving more chance to youth, not about who replacing who or who is the better winger tongue.gif

just take one of the latest game; birmingham
2 assists for fletcher in one game vs arsenal (fa cup)
numerous from corner kicks
away vs blackburn on 07/08, his corner led to goal.. keep in mind even the midget scholes can head it to tevez for the goal

last time we didnt really have good headers of the ball except ronaldo, but still he can assists quite a lot

Nani's crossing is good. It's the unpredictable nature of his which make him not so efficient right now. Valencia's crossing is great too IMO. He delivers them early so our attackers know what to expect compared to Nani who like to fool around a bit. Valencia just need a plan B in his game, while Nani need to keep his options to a minimum. He has plan A to Z. Turn here, turn there, turn again and again.. laugh.gif but when he gets them right, it's funny to watch the defenders struggling to stay on their feet.

Lennon is a tricky and pacy winger. He can beat defenders for fun with just his pace alone. Add his trickery, he's very hard to stop one on one. Tosic doesn't have the pace to beat defenders as easily. If he had that, SAF would have used him more last season seeing how Nani struggled last season, and we needed a bit more options down the wings. Tosic struggled to beat Asian defenders, no disrespect. He couldn't beat the defenders on the outside and deliver crosses which I thought was one of his strong point(good delivery). Dare I say, Richardson like on the left. Maybe he's not suited to play the 'winger down the touchline crossing' role but better cutting in, exchanging short passes, pass and move type, and beat defenders now and then.

Fabio, Rafael, Macheda, Gibson, Welbeck.. they all proved SAF is not afraid to use youth and give them a chance in the first team if they have the ability+mentality to handle the first team games. Tosic need to earn his chance and when he does, he need to grab it, which may happen in the early rounds of the CC/FA Cup. He's still young and can improve further.. may take over from Park someday. But things will not get easier if Obertan gets back and impresses straight away. Then Ljajic will come over in January + Valencia, Park and Nani would make it 6 wingers fighting for two spots. The latter 3 is confirmed as the 'first' choice, and only left one spot to be won. Hargreaves is gonna be back around Nov-December too. But as the defence showed last few seasons, our luck with injuries would meant that they would all get plenty of games shared around themselves. sweat.gif

My wild guess [after the international games]:

Foster
Gary - Vida - Rio/Evans - Evra
Nani - Fletcher - Scholes - Park
Rooney
Berbatov

QUOTE
Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville are both in contention for Manchester United’s trip to Tottenham.

Ferdinand has yet to play a competitive match for United this season after a thigh injury but is back in training, while Neville proved his fitness in a reserve match last week.

Sir Alex Ferguson may start Antonio Valencia on the bench as the Ecuador winger has had a long journey back from international duty in Bolivia, where he scored in a 3-1 win to give his country a good chance of qualifying for the World Cup.

"Valencia was playing in Bolivia so he'll probably arrive back in November!" said Ferguson. "Just think of a player playing a game in Bolivia on a Thursday morning and expected to be playing at Tottenham on a Saturday, but that's what happens now."

John O’Shea is certain to be missing after suffering a calf injury on duty with the Republic of Ireland, while keeper Edwin van der Sar’s broken thumb will keep him out for another month.

Doesn't sounds like Valencia will get a start.

Valencia is not available so Park is in for me. I would predict the same lineup as Alien did. Gary should have a run out and Rio need more match under his belt. It is really good to have seniors members that retired from international duty. Well, in this case is Scholes alone laugh.gif

Finally can talk bpl football already. This thread is soooo cold for the past 2 weeks.

This is my preferred line up:
Foster

Brown Ferdinand Vidic Evra

Nani Fletcher Scholes/Carrick Park

Berba Rooney

but i've got a felling *woohoo* that SAF is gonna play 5 men midfield since it's away which damn limit our attack sweat.gif

no more like last season super heart attack game...first half was owned by Spurs then second half goal fest...my heart cannot take it anymore. Hahaha..old already!

Park will be covered for Evra on the left while we can attack from Nani (right) and thru the middle
