I've seen so many concerns on how to tell a jersey is fake or not.

Nowadays the fakers have even attempted to copy the white security tag near the washing tag (inside the jersey).. How I wonder if the fakers might read some info posted here.. perhaps.

For nike jerseys........... if you are so worried to buy fake jerseys or not, you can buy from Nike Boutique Stores everywhere. When I said Nike Boutique, there are only 2 companies that falls under this.

1. Hytex Studio
2. Sportsland.

The nike store at Sunway Pyramid and at Genting Highlands are under Hytex Studio. Others (mid valley, one utama etc etc..) are under sportsland.

These two companies will sell 100% authentic jerseys.

Same goes for al-ikhsan. although I hear so many complains and accusations that they sell fake.. Please.. come and argue about that with me. Recently they've been selling 2 drop down jerseys (also known as kick off jerseys) for Barca Home and Man Utd Home for RM159. Suddenly some people say it's fake.

Real one too sells authentic jersey. I know Kak Zaitun and Anuar (the owners) will never sell fake jerseys. You can trust them as well.

Please check the list of shops listed at the first place to ensure that you buy the right stuff.... If you want to buy online, best place is to buy at kitbag or subside. Kitbag is my favourite, I am a big fan of kitbag. Check out my signature (my userbar).

Another thing... about adidas jerseys................ One key thing that you can check on the price tag, is to ensure that the barcode sticker on the front has the CLUB NAME or NATIONAL TEAM NAME written in the barcode sticker. The fake ones... I've seen no barcode sticker and some got funny wrong barcode stickers.

Best way to tell is by using my eyes. If you guys have concern on an authenticity of a certain jersey you just bought or want to buy, share the photos here or with me. I'm doing this for free.... charity. Myself and other experts here can help. I can see many people like zaidizero, ckimy, nimrod2 and ghoster are already learning a lot and can help to advice when I'm not around.

As mentioned above, no need to be so kancheong la. If it's from a nike boutique store, it's authentic.

Mes que un club.

I too am starting to collect some Barca kits.... I dunno why, maybe I like Barca? Hehe..

Anyway for the cotton kit jersey, try not to brush it.. Just simply wash the jersey with your hands and then if possible, try not to spin dry it.. Leave it to dry under the sun (since it's cotton and no PU sponsors/numbers). Then you can iron it.. to ensure the material is smooth and solid.

This is a cotton jersey, not polyester.. so you can leave it to dry outside and DO NOT BRUSH IT.

Nope, the great thing about toffs kits is that the material is nice... Although it is cotton, it is light and not thick.. comfy to wear.

Compare to the ones made by scoredraw.. The company that makes the retro kits for kitbag and united direct. Toffs are better.

And one more thing to bear in mind, the sizing of toffs is one size up. Example, if you wear XL, order L size from toffs... if you normally wear L, order M size and so and so. You can check the sizing guide at toffs.com and you can see from their website:

http://www.toffs.com/page/pricesordering

small 36-40" 91-102cm

medium 40-44" 102-112cm

large 44-48" 112-122cm

x-large 48-50" 122-127cm

x-x-large 52" 132cm

XL size is already same like XXL size (48-50) and so and so..

So beware when you order the size.

Yes faris. I have some Barca jerseys as well....

1. Barca light blue 07-08/08-09 away/third with HENRY 14
2. Barca 08-09 home (similar to their 2 halved centenary kit)
3. Barca orange 09-10 away

And the best barca kappa jersey (in my opinion):

(the one on the right)

Anyway........ I've been reading some books on FC Barca.. watch a good video about FC Barcelona (a day in the life of Joan Laporta, when he signed Ronaldinho, president election, how important it is to speak catalan, etc etc..)... Very interesting...

That all lead me to start collecting few barca kits.....

what i (and other people here) have learnt are from the contributions of experienced jersey collectors (JCs) like yourself and many others.
i find that this hobby is quite unique and definitely addictive. so helping out someone in doubt certainly makes my day.

to the others, do come by and read up, learn up by looking around too.
then next time u can help contribute to other newcomers of the hobby.

i have great admiration for barcelona as a club and also a football team.

i've always held them in great esteem as a club because they never had to put a sponsor on their jersey.
but when they finally put a logo on their jersey, it was for charity. and they actually donated to an organization while advertising it for them.
how great is that?
not like the many money centered clubs out there.

as for their football style, well if u watch any of their games u should know what i'm talking about.
their passing, technical ability and flow of the game is just superb.
i believe there is no football team like them at the moment.
last year's UCL final was well deserved by them (even tho i support MU).

so hats off to them.

Adidas released some 2010/2012 kits already. All new templates I think. Most of them got extra weird dark lines. Called Techfit. Hmm. hmm.gif

Adidas WC jerseys come in 3 types - Climacool (replica), Formotion and Techfit (both player issue). Players get to choose which shirt (Formotion or Techfit) they want to wear for a match. Techfit is the one with the elastic bands (or lines) on the kits and is suppose to be tightfitting - Techfit is the technology used for Adidas' baselayer so u can image how tight it is. Interesting to see over the weekend friendlies how the NNs are to be printed on the Techfit kits over the lines hmm.

The replicas for Germany, Spain, France, Argentina and Russia are already in at ALI BB. Box sets wont be in till next April though and not all are brought in. Sommore RM499.
