Huh? This phone is already Flash enabled, version 9.

You can basically put in any SWF files and execute it (will open in the web browser).

Already have flash built-in. Try browsing any flash site.

Possibly it requires the latest Flash 10.
Currently N900 only supports Flash 9. Next update might have support for Flash 10.

I read that Flash 10 supports GPU acceleration

What do you guys think it's best to see in the next firmware for N900?

I read that it is still using Ovi map 1. Furthermore, no assurance from Nokia that N900 will be able to run Meego or application can be ported to N900, is a deal breaker for me.

I am still considering....

Actually, N900 is not classified as mobile phone but MID (thats why its web browsing offer a superior experience over others) with phone function attached. They are the same as Nokia previous tablet such as N700, N810 which never launched in our shore.

Nevertheless, its a very interesting gadget with no certainty due to its OS in used.

I'm still considering this or SE X10. Tough decision for me hmm.gif

Perhaps the though decision is because one of it you like the design and another you like the OS?

Because both phone looks way different and both have different OS.

Just see which weighs more to you, the looks/design of the phone, or the OS.

Personally, I find the X10 design very plain, if Android I'd prefer Milestone/Droid, so if you compare X10 and N900, the design is way different and makes the decision much easier.
For Sony, I prefer X2 but it's WinMo and the specs are soooo dissapointing... but I like the phone design a lot.

Actually, the screen size is one of my major concern. X10 4" screen is able to provide better browsing experience than N900(i read a lot, ebook especially), but N900's browser is better than X10 cause X10 OS is only Android 1.6 (hm...if only it is 2.0/2.1 then the choice would be much more easier).

I'm using Samsung I8000 now so reading and browsing on 3.5" screen is best describe as...below my expectation though it serves its purpose.

Phone function to me is only non-critical.

Meego apps will be written in QT, and it will also be supported by Maemo 5 (N900) and upcoming Maemo 6 and Symbian^4...
Talking about cross compatibility here, I think Nokia had made a great decision by using QT thumbup.gif
