Spec wise, N900 beat iPhone anytime. Only touchscreen experience (N900 use ultra-sensitive resensitive while iPhone use capacitive) iPhone win hands down.
I wouldn't say iphone win hands down...in term of sensitivity yes iphone capacitive screen win but in terms of accuracy N900 pawns Iphone any time....in short both hve their own speciality....capacitive screen tends to be more sensitive while resistive ones more accurate....n not to mention the sensitivity on resistive screen is catching up with capacitive screen so we will see more of that in the future
I can hear many N97 user pissed off with Nokia by releasing this phone. I'm one of them

how much will this phone be ? around same price with a basic laptop maybe
It’s only supposed to be €599, approximately RM 2,522. But after tax and etc, RRP could be around RM2,700. But you could get cheaper from other retailer.
Anyway, another N900 video

Since X series X6 Nokia using Capacitive touchscreen. Maybe I should wait another MAEMO Os from Nokia that use Capacitive or Optical touchscreen. ANYWAY, this phone makes Samsung and LG in pain!

i wonder why nokia didnt implement their n95/n95 8gb formula to this n900 (boosting all their best hardware/software)? last time during n95 era, its among the best in terms of hardware.

I think la, MAEMO isn't hardware eater. See the video from your post. The touchscreen response very very nice eventhough it's resitive. The OS is light-weight but powerful one. It's like comparing Ubuntu (MAEMO) with Vista (WinMo).

yeah. that maybe rite. but what i mean are, why not combining the tilt form factor from n97+camera from n86+capacitive from X6 (if its true)+compass from n97. they can repeat the success of n95/95 8gb.
i understand marketing strategy to diverse their product line up, but if they produce all the best in one device, it still will sell like hot cakes

But a nightmare is the price, have to agree the design isn't attractive enough. But if the design match with it's specifications, will sell like hot cake.

maybe we can expect from future Maemo line-up anyway, those n900's videos around net really make me drool. waiting for more videos
