and just when u thought no one buys the armadillo...here comes the armadillo2...
i'm definitely getting it since razer took notice and decided to put rubber on the bottom of it. now who wants to buy my slightly rusted on the bottom armadillo? but armadillo2 looks like half plastic...unlike the complete steel of ori armadillo... weight also so much difference...114gm to 300gm. http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-accessories/razer-armadillo2 ![]() This post has been edited by Everdying: Oct 28 2009, 12:17 AM |

Everdying: U mean even with the 1st version, because there was no rubber it still moved about? Michael: I think can only fit 1..if can fit alot..sure Razer pokai...lol This post has been edited by giggsyy: Oct 28 2009, 12:20 AM |

Rubber grip at bottom can self fix one if you want to. Just go any hardware shop and buy the 1 side adhesive rubber grip thing, cut out the shape yourself and self fix can d...
To me the most big changes is the 1 click mechanical design la, don't have to unscrew the armadillo every time you wan to use it for your mouse cord. @Michael: For other gears you basically dun need armadillo at all. Wire limits your mouse movement but for keyboard, cooler and carcharias, do you even move them a lot when you playing game? |

u seem like u really need it.hahaha....the angle cord is to ensure the cord is off the ground....so its like a bungee...so ur wire from the armadillo2 to ur mouse will be like floating..so there is no friction which restricts ur movement...rubber at the bottom of the armadillo2 i guess to ensure it sticks to ur table..haha...

uhh, i did write that the weight was so much different.
so the ori is heavier at 300gm so does not move at all, basically no need rubber feet. got one time i underestimate the slack of the cable i give and i almost pull my mouse off the cable cos of quick movement...but the armadillo still stayed on the table. just the first one complete steel, so bottom if scratch will start to rust. guess armadillo2 so much lighter needs rubber feet to prevent from moving around, but it also looks like part plastic made. Most probably. Looking at the finishing, i think the metal weight is only inside the lower part.
It looks nicer though, but reliability, no idea For old armadillo if you fix your own rubber grip at the bottom and you use it on desktop gaming (only bring it elsewhere with your mouse once in a blue moon), it is perfect. This post has been edited by edwardgsk: Oct 28 2009, 12:32 AM |
