QUOTE(attahun @ Nov 13 2009, 06:45 PM)
it seems some other users also having same problem... they say it is a glitch during software upgrade but not sure if ur problem was after any software upgrade..

anyway solution suggested:-

When it asks for lock code, press and hold the function button (button at lower left corner) to activate numbers, dial 112 (emergency number), then press the green dial number. i dunno whats after that, give it a try and let us know if it works..

good luck.
*
no chance to try
the phone is not mine and it's sent to factory already
owner say he MIGHT changed the code..wtf

neway, thx for the replies rclxms.gif

Hi,
I got grey steel for my 1st wedding anniversary gift from my wife last week (please add me for the user list)
this is my first GPS mobile. I try it few times and today I found out that Hotlink Prepaid charge me GPRS (between MYR0.07-MYR0.08) every time I use the function. Anyway the I can use the GPS without paying the GPRS.

I tried to find the forum about this matter but fail. Please direct me to the topic (if any)

Appreciate all the help.
Thanks and best regards.

I think the Garmin application that installed in my mobile is the crack version. (as I told by the mobile seller)

I have explained in the N85 V1 thread, ok i copy and paste here

there are 4 GPS locking option setting in the positioning option (tool-connection-gps data- option-positioning setting- positoning method)

1. blue-tooth GPS --- need to connect to external blue-tooth enable GPS device - mostly off
2. Assisted GPS --- using GPRS connectivity to speed up in locating your position, IMO AGPS will switch off as soon as your IGPS is connected to satellite --- minimal charge -(refer to my attached image for my 3 different routes) -recommended to switch on because it is useful in rainy, cloudy weather
user posted image
3. Integrated GPS --- using your integrated GPS with directly connectivity with satellite -- no charge at all - must switch on
4. Network base GPS --- using your network provider for data transfer of GPS details including traffic/weather info -- charge according to total data package - mostly off , only on if you have unlimited data rate in your service provider.

no matter which software/app you use these 4 option are the one that determine your GPS locking method -even in garmin.
