I am a maxis subscriber using the RM80 package...When I got my bill at the end of the month, I got charge RM80 over for 8MB only...Called them up but there's not cheaper data rate plan at the moment except if you subscribe to the iphone packages. Same packages but it they give another free 500MB a month. The best thing is, the package is only available to Maxis Iphone subscribers... Now how stupid is that. I have been a loyal Maxis postpaid customer for 10 years... Now this just makes me RAGGEEEEEE!

I have two options:
1.Get an iphone and sell it off. Maintaining my package for the free data
2.Change to another fcukin telco

i have subcribe maxis 5mb bundle data for rm8..save me big money every month

errr. how? 5mb/rm8/month?

it use to be under value plus before maxis intoduce maxis broadband hourly/daily plan..

8mb should be sufficient if you're main focus is just emails (without attachment), msn, skype, facebook, browsing (turn off pictures upload).. even if u exceed 8mb, the rate/kb is still cheaper which is only 0.3cents/kb so if u download app of 1MB size, cost only rm3. if not u'll be charged rm10 for 1MB download at the normal rate 1cent/kb

but i would just change to other telco as maxis service has been very very bad...and at least now you have the option to change telco whilst maintaining your number...

i plan to get Digi unlimited plan at RM58/month. is their service good? what if i remain connected to the internet let's say, average 10 hours a day, how fast will my battery die?

and how to tether to my laptop? in case my internet at home dies and i get internet withdrawal symptoms

I am actually looking for a telco which gives me lower data rate plans. My internet usage is irregular.
1. It can go as low as none for one month;which defeats the purpose of me paying a monthly fee.
2. It can go as high as 10MB a month, which will cause my phone bill to skyrocket.
Any suggestions from other telcos?

whenever i off n re-on my phone,

an "installing" status will be displayed

then, it shows "untrusted software found in memory card, to install go to application manager".

how do i get rid of this? i saw somewhere in this topic that says that i must reset my phone. hard reset or soft reset?

and if i reset my phone, will i still retain my data? (sms,contact,calender,application)

Hard reset, if I am not mistaken is resetting your phone buy removing the battery for a few seconds. You won't lose data this way...

there is no need to hard reset the phone, hard reset will surely delete all datas...what software did you install or uninstall prior to the error message? Just reinstall the software and it should go away. If not you'll have to delete the installation file in the temporary folder but i forgot already which one..maybe other otai in the forum can help u on that...

nope. but i do some homework, this software turns our phone become wifi hotspot. then can connect using laptop or any devices can use wifi technology. lol
