update:
light leakage above the qwerty keyboard uploaded at post 2 inside (when u wanna buy a e71), added a review on ori and ap battery (in post 8) as well (from the appearance side only.. mine new bat recorded 1559mAh while old ap'set bat recorded 1409 mAh. how do u guys battery look like regardless AP or ORI pls share i need more samples.. thx.. sharing is caring.

Has anyone here upgraded to the latest firmware v300.21.012?

I upgraded and i noticed that the battery life is worse than before.

now i know what u mean with light leakage....n i also have it...

as u mention xavi...not a big problem....but quite sakit mata lor....

one day my doter dropped the phone on the floor...so the leakage more obvious...then i just push up the keypad...and that it...no more leakage....except on the upper part of the touch button

Ok 1stly .. Wat is ur set? Ori or ap? Install a nokia energy profiler and check ur energy usage plus check ur battery capacity.
2ndly.. Wat ur usage? Wat software hav u installed? And wat version r they now..?
3rdly .. How do u use ur E71? Duration of use.? Wat software or application u r running all d time.. Wat u mean ur bat life got shorter? Ur previous firmware giv u a 5 days n now ur new 1 giv u 1day?
4thly.. Wat to do? Reformat or hard reset ur set after d upgrade. Reinstall everything..stop playing around with it more often .. Sometimes is all bcos of us when v got something new.. V tend to play it more often than v do b4 bcos u wanna know wat is d improvement and upgrades done.... Then v said it last shorter bt it is due to d chg in our usage patern...
Finally.. So wat can i do to resolve tis? like i said install nokia energy profiler and check ur bat capacity and usage.. If ur usage is above 0.05w dont expect it to last more than 3 days.. Upgrade ur garmin version to 5.04 and above. Turn off background programmes. Set ur set to gsm only if u r not a 3g user. Well tats all i can think of.. Want more info ask google or wait for others..

yewps, gmail working only hotmail not working. anyways, i manage to get it to work again. i deleted the hotmail mailbox, then re-add it again. working now, maybe you can try it.

i think better you post this battery issue thingy at the 1st few posts, so that we can just ask them to refer to the main page for details.

i think firmware v300.21.012 battery problem is a global issue. it's more stable but drains the battery faster.
wait for upcoming firmware and stay with latest v200 firmware.

Guys, just wanna check wif u guys..how to I deactivate the tsrauto.exe thingy..its that wat its called?

My new E71 last about 1.5-2days..wif normal calls usage & EDGE running 24/7 for emails...or its tat common to last for 2days?

blablasheep : im using v300 and yes the battery life is significantly less than v200. however it still lasts me about 1.5 days tho

ps : is it really firmware issue? cause i notice all phones ive used that the early stages battery life is very long but as it gets older the life also shortens righT?

some shops tell me its cause sometimes when we leave the phone to charge and over-charges, it damages the battery as a whole. can anyone enlighten me?

yea, I saw it before. Thing is it came in one whole set. Was wondering if there's a place which sells T4 alone.

good thing yours not running. like mine, sometimes crazy, it will run even when i turn off garmin. so have to manually kill the process.

hey guys, even in v300 the problem of contacts flickering and returning back to home screen is still there. getting kinda sick of it already... i tried 2 times, and the only way is to reset the phone entirely.

any of you have an easier way?

Added.. So ur contact flicker is due to window live? Ic.. So there is a bug with window live eh? Did u get tis issue during ur version 200?
