i think firmware v300.21.012 battery problem is a global issue. it's more stable but drains the battery faster.
wait for upcoming firmware and stay with latest v200 firmware.

any body can provide guide on how to change font in e71.
the simplest & safest way. i've read about fontrouter but it's not automated.

u need to download 2 files:
1. Font Router Build 2007.11.09.sis (the fontrouter itself)
2. FontRouterMan V1.06 RC3 FP1.sisx (for the interface)

either u hack ur phone or u sign the .sis file

get sat signal first. garmin cannot locate itself and no place can be pointed in the map. basically, it need initial coordinate first.

map in E:\Garmin\ folder? or map is locked?

hope my nokia energy profiler explaination is correct. firmware 210.21.006.

without the screen capture app running on background, my average power (on idle) is usually under 0.20W.
under normal usage can last at 3-4 days on single charge. so far, this is the phone with best battery life i ever had.

i wonder how it looks like on v300 firmware.

my e71 restart itself once in a while (as i notice, those i don't notice i don't know). maybe due to sms blocker program crashed, i think. but i don't really care, as long it don't restart itself while in use. firmware v210.

can re-install firmware? thought the updater only will install with the latest firmware.

update to v400 last nite. apply helloox already. until now still installing my app.

*tips: better remove java programs installed in your memory first before updating. if not, later the java program will appear in app manager list, even the program is not installed. need to reinstall in order to remove. symbian program (.sis) installed in memory card might appear in application, i.e. garmin.

so far i am satisfied with the stability, speed and response. camera also feel a bit better. it may consume more power compare to v210. energy profiler recorded average 0.20W on idle (my v210 was 0.18W).

only if have problem, try to run helloox again. if still problem uninstall & reinstall & run helloox again.

strange, i've no problem installing helloox. any chance u set the App. Manager >> Option >> Setting >> 'Online certification check' to On? Turn it Off.

u r using nokia software updater (via nokia pc suite) or the confusing nokia ovi suite? if nokia is apple, for sure nokia ovi suite will be rejected for 'redundant functionality'

v400 is a lot snappier then before but... sms handling is still slow compared to windows mobile... just my sincere thought.

my method: u'll need 3 things:
1. FreeFSWP [link]
2. transparent top & bottom bar themes. this is my favorites [link] 'solace' by tehk7
3. your 320x240 (or equivalent aspect ratio) wallpaper [need link also meh?]

*u might need to sign the app and theme

install the app & theme, explore the app, and there u have full screen wall paper (FSWP!). even the menu bg as well.

i believe this problem only happen to java application and games (.jar) installed in memory card.
i had one game reinstalled (using the same .jar file), i choose to replace with new, the game data is OK. i mean, my 28% game progress before the firmware update is preserved. and the icon appear in the installations folder.
