I think the ony thing tat might be neglected was the ventilation.
I dunno how to share my setup coz i cant get any camera~
humidity is good coz all the time the soil color is dark and showing tat its humid enof.
for ventilation i ony make one rather big hole on the cover. And multiple needle-poked holes.I think the ventilation wasnt good enof as u said this sp. needs good ventilation to survive.
Regarding arboreal setup,i did offer thick branch for it.But it din use it and made a burrow and hide instead.
And mold and fungus started to grow on the branch so i removed it.

Funny, none of my P. cambridgei burrowed.

Do increase the ventilation and try to offer dried leafs for slings. They can hide in between it.

erm.. as mantis keeper as well, my mantises need these dead leaves as well,
so i tried to find some dry leaves that are waxy, wouldn't even grow moult under very damp conditions

leaves from Bauhenia kockiana (orange, red flowers) or the dried leaves from a common landscaping tree (bright yellow tiny flowers that clump together with legumes; forgotten its sp. name). Those work fine for about 1 month but make sure they are completely dry before use.

just my 2cents

austinlai: Sorry for your loss. Hope you will try again! Give it something to hide the next time you try. I've read many accounts of keepers saying their p.irminia slings burrowed. I gave all my arboreal slings a thick piece of cork bark or wood with a few half inch holes drilled from top to bottom and side to side. Almost all my arboreal slings(exceptions are avics and Iridopelma) will take to the bark/piece of wood to hide and eventually expand their homes by borrowing underneath it. It doesn't have to be pieces of of bark or wood, so long as they have some place to hide they should do fine.
I've also read that cross ventilation is important for some species- so I make holes on all sides of the container. Don't know how true that is but I've had very few losses so I will continue to do it. tongue.gif Hope you have better luck with your next one.

Do u mean that most of those arboreals need exceptionally good ventilation?
So means tat i shud do the same for my Singapore Blue slings?
