QUOTE(yltanisaac @ Sep 21 2009, 09:27 AM) Thanks bro. I do my best to make my B.smithi felt like homeQUOTE(*FallenAngel* @ Sep 21 2009, 09:37 AM) erm, kinda looks wet 4 me.... they just need low 60-70% humidity... correct me if i m wrong... what's the substrate you using? nice enclosure I do some reading in the internet and yes, the suitable humidity is around 75-80%. At the time i took the photo, my hygrometer showing 70% of humidity..maybe my hygrometer rosak edi..QUOTE(HyourinMaru @ Sep 21 2009, 11:07 AM) Very nice...Love it Ok thanks for the advice. Will keep it in mindSmithi is desert sp. so it dun nid dat much of humidity Just seldom mist it should be ok QUOTE(*FallenAngel* @ Sep 21 2009, 01:43 PM) what is the substrate? gardening soil? i thk is ok... or alternatively, as recommended you can get coco fiber or coco peat from nursery nearby ur place. we choose coco fiber as it holds moisture well... but since your smithi just need moderate humidity, so that wont be a problem as long as the soil you use is zero-pesticide, zero-chemical fertilizer n zero-pest... just bake the substrate to kill those pest. For the substrade, i use potting soil and forest bark its 80% of potting soil and 20% of forest bark. When i look closely, i can see a very tiny thing crawling at the soil. Is it pesticide?? Btw, thanks for ur advice and useful tips QUOTE(HyourinMaru @ Sep 21 2009, 02:11 PM) Ok thanks for the advice bro |

Hi guys. One question, is b.smithi like to dig? My b.smithi really like to dig coz almost everyday after i came back frm work, i can see a pile of soil in front of her cave opening. Sometimes shes like a tractor, go inside her cave, bring some soil and put it outside and shes keep doing that continuously in about half an hour. I tot b.smithi is not a digin type...
