got old & new batch? how to differentiate whether it's old or new batch? then may I know old batch using which chipset?

Hd Mkv with multi ch audio is main priority for me. Its not as though rmvb video and 2channel audio is anyting great to boast about. At best a side attraction. I am comparing the egreat 6mths ago against wdtv.
Of coz if get media player now will strongly consider 1073dd. But at the 350-400 range.

all those said problems with files compatibility can be solved with---> HTPC lol

izzit? can output uncompress lossless audio?
and HTPC costs 300-500?

i saw it on sale in many shops in LYP for RM420 with 3 years warranty. IMO, the design looks sleek. u can install a 2.5" sata hdd inside too.

At RM420 seems over price even with 3 years warranty. For that price you can buy better feature media player.
Seems there are lot better products coming next month.
Anyway I've stay away from dlink products cos when want to claim warranty from dlink, they very good in tai chi.

becareful when u buy dlink.

this player might use old Antique REALTEK 1262. chipset.

cannot direct play rmvb,mkv..bla bla . (need play from PC , stream to network. )

Has anyone been to dlink service center?

I've been there to repair my wireless router.....after going there you will not buy any dlink products, period! You get a shock seeing the amount of reject sets...by the cartons....the place was full of it!!

Sorry to bad mouth dlink brand, my wireless router is still giving problems even after repair a few times.

HiMedia 300D builtin dvd player together. Cost too high.

I already bring Blueangel H16.

Realtek does not open source. Almost brand same software (Realtek 1073DD).

Becareful. Realtek 1073 have 2 different core software. Early revision like Hisense ..quite few feature (small ram design). Future firmware can't add anymore.

Thanks for the inside...Just to double confirm, AC Ryan/Xstreamer & other Realtek 1073 chipset player can read the file from external slim usb power dvd drive, right?

Now the latest firmware already support USB external dvd drive.
