Other than the hardware...the firmware is just as important...so buy branded stuff with good support.

QUOTE(richard912 @ Aug 28 2009, 08:44 AM) True, but be adviced that the WDTV Mini losses the HDMI 1080P (max is 1080i via component) and the ability to play MKV files (if i read it right). So, if u need RMVB, WDTV Mini but no MKV. If u need MKV (and almost anything EXCEPT RMVB), WDTV is the best choice in terms of ability to play the files, affordability and firmware support from WD. Added on August 28, 2009, 11:36 amSpeaking of firmware support, where is the latest firmware update to the WDTV?? This post has been edited by Poadster: Aug 28 2009, 11:36 AM

QUOTE(arremie @ Aug 31 2009, 09:15 PM) What's the difference between RMVB n MKV. Which one better. depends on the bitrate/rez size lor.. RMVB 1.5GB 720p vs 640x480 MKV.. but RMVB only stereo.. so that's the deal breaker for some...
