I doubt he can still be considered a boy now laugh.gif (Girls must have been fawning over his six-packs when he took off his shirt tongue.gif )
Emotions got the better of him but since he has apologised it's fine with me. His attitude is the reason why he has become the player he is today.

It's not typical actually. Only Luis Figo took it like that and his feint is better. Ronaldo needs to take lessons from the master again whistling.gif

If I'm not mistaken, Simao also took it the same way.

Next month's football magazines posters will be Ronaldo's Roarr! hahaha~

Just woke up after watching the match last night. rclxub.gif

It was not a very nice since we should've scored more than 3 but the freekick was damn good. Me and my friends were stunned by that goal and even Cristiano's 2nd goal amazed me. Damn he's good~ hahaha

But questions need to be ask about defending setpieces. I think Manuel solved this problem until I saw last night's match. We were really weak at some point in the game. It was either that or Marseille were really good with their set pieces last night.

Don't know why, I think Casillas should have not pulled off that diving tackle because I don't think it was that much of threat that needed that kind of tackle. Maybe it's just me. Will watch it for second time tonight.

One thing for sure, since there's no Niang, Marseille looked very dull attacking wise. whistling.gif

that cheyrou guy is pretty good at crossing the ball.. all his corners were pretty dangerous last night
*
Totally agreed but if you did watch the whole match, VDV's corners were pretty dangerous too. I'm not being bias here, just slightly happy because it's been a very long time since I saw anyone in Madrid can take corners. Sneijder were better but that was when he was playing his 1st season in Spain.

Lucho was causing damage all over the pitch with his through balls and he kept Marseille game ticking, something like Xavi for Barca. It was not that efficient but it's enough to cost a lot of damages for Madrid.

so no wonder anymore smile.gif

You should've watched his corners at the end of last season. Hard to remember which match, but they were very bad corners. I bet he trained harder than last year to prove his worth to the new coach now. rolleyes.gif
Whatever the factor, I'm happy with the end result. hehe~

About the Knockout stage opposition I'm hoping that we can meet stuttgart tongue.gif

Big game tonite without CR and Kaka. Alot of pundits are predicting a loss for us. For me I think we've finally got a system of playing so it won't be as clear cut but it's going to be a close fight.
*
Hehe, guess the pundit should just read your post. hahaha~ A close fight it was and I'm happy with the win. Well who don't? biggrin.gif

Valencia looked more convincing with their fast pace attacking gameplay, but credits must go to Lassana and Pepe. They cut almost every attempt Valencia made and the best part it they made it look so easy.

Pepe's condition is worrying. I didn't see any hard collision between him and Villa. Guess maybe Pepe miss-landed.

Garay was very impressive considering he did got that much of time playing with the 1st team compared to Albiol and Pepe.

What can I say...I'm good  cool2.gif laugh.gif

It was already noticeable the last few games that the players were beginning to form an understanding on the pitch but most pundits choose to ignore that and think "No CR No Kaka, Dooooomed"

If Pepe is going to be out for a few months maybe we should get someone in the winter transfer window. A good versatile fullback I'm thinking preferably leftback.

They need something to talk about, what can be more interesting than "no Kaka and Ronaldo" topic. :

QUOTE(sivapc @ Dec 13 2009, 05:56 PM)
Great goals from Pipita. Best striker in Europe on current form methinks.

the whole pre match talks were surrounding Benzema vs Villa. But Pipita silently overshadowed them with yet another great performance. Benz wasn't bad either. Was lively in working through the channels (left especially)..

Garay and Xabi were superb as well..
*
El Pipita? HUrm.. I think he deserves the title "the most underated striker in Europe" for time being. laugh.gif Trust me, people will talk more about Ibrahimovic, Rooney, David Villa, Aguero, Drogba or maybe Anelka but never Higuain. Some people here in Malaysia said Pato is a much better prospect compared to Higuain. I say Up Yours! doh.gif hahaha~

Edit : IT"S OFFICIAL. PEPE IS OUT FOR 6 MONTHS. SoS

Must but a LB/RB shift Ramos to CB again. Now, the name Vargas will surely ring a bell! Or maybe Madrid can try Marcos Alonso.

Get well soon Pepe. Really sad to think that he can't play for the world cup. sad.gif

I think I'm available to play anytime? Anybody else except me and Verx. I can ask two of my friends here. My roommate is a barca fan.

where we can have this "El Clasico" anyway?

If it's up to me, I say Sportsplanet Pucong. It's the best around my place, tongue.gif

5 to 8 players per team, right?

Finally got the time to post here. Been busy with my studies and stuffs.

Nice game and I love Guti when he's playing something like last night. Elements of surprise I must say, the pass to benzema and a lot of through balls to Kaka.

Kaka didn't play bad for a normal player, yes I'll assume him as a normal player from now on until I see something special in him. (getting ready to be bashed) hahaha~

Raul should've scored two goals, both benzema's and marcelo's pass were wasted.

But anyway, ever since I started to support Madrid, I never seen us bag the three points at Riazor, I always hoped for a win but somehow deep down inside I know we wouldn't. But tonight I'm happy that I am wrong. hahaha~

Cheers guys, have fun~

EDIT: Oh ya Verx, you're right, last night I saw a different Arbeloa and it's nice to see him on right flank with Ramos in CB position.

Iker, Ramos, Arbeloa, Albiol, Granero, Xabi, Guti, and Raul. Now, that's 8 Spanish players in the lineup for you tongue.gif

Yupe, noticed that, and already told that to my roomate as he's a FCB fan and always talk about how proud he is with the number of catalans in the team. Kasi tensen ja. hahaha~

Maybe not all of them are still playing in the current squad but Raul and Guti used to play for Spain and they're not benchwarmers during their prime and what more can anybody say about Raul when the current on form goal scorer for Spain is not even close to his achievement nevertheless, I do admit that the current squad is a much better side as a team than the one Raul used to play.

Just came back after watching the match with my friends. Got to say, Higuain is nothing close to the standard of recovered player. He was just like when I watched him last time, very enthusiastic and smart player. Perfecta 3rd goal courtesy of both our late subs.

It's been a while since Ramos scored a header, good for him and lets hope we'll win and Barca will stumble next week. Hehe~

Just woke up after watching last night's match. tongue.gif

Like everybody said, this is by far the worst game ever played. The passing, connection between players, individual movements and determination looked like we went there for one soul purpose, to be bullied by Lyon. The only time we played better was on the final quarter of the match but I'm fairly disappointed with the finishing quality.

Seriously,if Lisandro scored at least half of his attempts, we have no hope of progressing anymore. Thank god he and Delgado didn't score.

That said, I still believe that RM can do better in Bernabeu, they will park the bus but one goal from RM will "move the bus away".

Keep on believing guys~ Chow...

Indeed, Madrid performed very well today but then Villareal defensive line was the worst I've seen.

Soft penalties I have to say tongue.gif

Anyway nice game with some nice goals especially the freekicks. hehe~

QUOTE(alcibald @ Mar 2 2010, 04:07 PM)
to me ronaldo was kinda selfish towards the end of the match.
In my humble opinion, i felt that he could pass to higuain for a clear chance on a few occasions but did not.
What do you guys think?
*
It's hard, very hard even for a player like ROnaldo to prove that it's worth spend that much on him alone, and it's get harder when he was the former world's best player and he's likely to be in Messi's shadow unless..... he scores~ Guess I don't need to elaborate very much on that part.

He's selfish, yes. But his selfishness was towards the end of the game was when we were all but bagged those 3 points we really needed. Sometimes in a team, you have to be selfish to prove yourself, that doesn't mean that you have to be selfish all the time and for me honestly, for the last couple of games, I don't think he's being selfish too much. smile.gif

Anyway, Higuain and Ramos scored for both their countries. Gosh I really love when both of them end up in the score sheet. I don't know why but I really like to see Ramos celebrate his goals.

QUOTE(verx @ Mar 4 2010, 10:50 AM)
Critics just seem to have extremely short term memory. Selfish? Against Villarreal he only scored 1 goal but he also assisted Kaka and Higuain and he also won the penalty. So this game after we're leading 3-1 he goes on a run and fails to pass to Higuain all of a sudden he's the most selfish player on the planet. rolleyes.gif

Why Maradona decided to snub Higuain so many times before is beyond me. And he even had the balls to accuse Valdano of being un-Argentine. Good to see him being proven wrong now.
*
Ya dude, Critics will find whatever looked like a"sin" and exaggerate the story like there's actually something wrong with it. Same goes to the Benzema vs Higuain case. Instead of squaring the ball to Benzema, Higuain shoots and failed to score. Then came all this story about Benzema don't really like Higuain's attitude and all which were denied by Benzema not long ago. Critics and press just like any other attention seeker.

Again, it's nothing with a player to attempt a shot when he stands a chance to score himself fair and square.

Maradona is a scumbag anyway. Don't really understand how he was appointed as a coach.

EDIT: Higuain was brave enough to pull that kinda stuff. A 30 yards slow grounder shot. hahahah~ You can see his celebration, the goal really meant something for him.

Wow, so many trolling and bashing, it's like these guys are waiting for us to lose or something like that. biggrin.gif

It hurts to lose and it gets worst when it involves our top priority this season.

But, think about it, Perez said he learned from his mistakes which he should realize that firing a coach right after losing our top priority isn't necessary at all (since the head coach is doing a great job).

I've read a lot of articles about the players still depressed about the loss and everything, I'm sure you guys read it as well.

So this is a test for a club who wants to be best. Our problem lies not with the players ability or the coach's capability to turns things around. It's more than that and I hope Perez, Pellegrini and the players will be patient going through one of the hardest time in their life. If they pass this test without a doubt we will be the best football club in the world.

Indeed, as long as valdano there, no Rafa for us.

Actually I'm not a big fan of Rafa and no offense to any Liverpool fans but I don't think Rafa can be stated as one of the best manager around, yeah you can list down your CL title and others aswell but he didn't generate continuity, he didn't boost that much of thread to other League competitors, lack depth (blame your financial problem all you want)and lack of beautiful football (well at least a decent passing football which is what madridista are asking for).

Bash all you want Kops but everybody is entitled to their opinion and if you don't agree with me guess we can agree to disagree. rolleyes.gif

You asked Madrid to pay RM20 million for this kinda quality? Do you even know what's a win win situation means? hmm.gif
