HON did what dota cant with warcraft
Stats that records every single tibbit you did including leaver percentage which can be set when you are creating game on what percentage is allowed Disconnected because of your internet? No worries connect right back in your game without any loss expect your time Sick of the same map every single game? Create your own map! Or played with the available maps that they offer ( Currently 3 ) Well at least the pricetag will filter out dotards from Malaysia |

How come bobo is talking about HoN ?
Anyway i've tried both games, and while i was expecting to like HoN more, and rushed to get the key and client for HoN more first, I think i will be playing more of LoL as a start. I loved the graphics and smoothness of HoN, but was also disappointed that they did not go all the way and make the content more unique. 80%? of heroes/items were copied from Dota ( probably not a bad thing for most, and anyway since dota has so many heroes, i guess it is hard to create a hero with spells that do not overlap ) Maybe actual release will have more new heroes ? HoN + Graphics + Smooth gameplay + some nice new features like balancing etc.. + very faithful to DoTa - very faithful to Dota - newbies to the genre are probably going to need counseling after playing a few games ( because of other players ) - Steep learning curve for non-dota players LoL + some persistence though minimal. + more unique content + easier learning curve ( dunno what to buy?.. just look at recommended items! ) - graphics ( not a fan of the silverfall-like graphics ) - Why do they have to have the html-like interface for lobbies etc.. seems a bit slow to me, maybe + for some so they can IM,surf..etc... in between games. - nothing to do with the game, but is it just me or do ppl hardly communicate in this game ? - balance issues? ( all my attempts to play support heroes were total failures.. ) - no "deny"ing, i guess they have theyre reasons Anyway this is just my opinion and i will still play both games This post has been edited by gafun: Sep 7 2009, 03:03 PM |

When you put it that way. They both are different in a good way.
Choosing one of them is hard. But since LOL is kind of unbalance for me. |

@FatalExe
What I mean is the map itself is free. @gafun Yes the recommendation item does help ,but only to newcomer\ Many experienced players dont really buy all their item from the recommendation list, they normally have their own build. On the other hand, on the balance issue and I shall assumed you didnt read the development roadmap threads in the forum. The developer are currently trying add new content to the game, perfect them, make every champion fun to play and remove bugs. After that they only will move on to solve the balance issues. I have to agree that choosing one of them is hard since they have their own pros and cons. For me, I will pick LoL. |

The games are hosted on the LoL server and not by player.

seems like LoL is more like an "inspired by dota" game like demigod compared to "advanced dota/dota 2.0" like HoN.
