I use a different item build with Sona. Perhaps I will fit in a Mejai somewhere in there. So easy to play pure support. Max out W, then alternate Q and E. When in team battle just mash Q and W.

Almost all the matches I played with non-retarded people I got like 0/0/11. Hilarious.

It's generally okay around 300 ping, can even do skillshots. I love Koggy's R.
Around 400 though and you get delays so it's nigh unplayable.

Unless you like to waste IP, better to wait for T3 runes.
That extra 1.1 Armor Penetration isn't going to help you much, if at all.
Hell, I can even jungle runeless with Amumu.
Runes do give you a minor advantage, but definitely not T1 runes.
