U can actually off your proxy after u get into the login page.

Apparently the ip blocking is only implemented on the patcher client, and not at the game client itself.

Ok, i dont play LoL anymore but i'll share this hoping someone would confirm it. My bro manage to play 2 games in LoL last night without using any proxy software. He told me his IP was 175.xxx.xxx.xxx
Anyone with this IP range able to help me confirm it ?

Well, maybe their ip database is not that updated.

And i think sometimes they forgot to switch on the ip blocking thing after they do a maintenance on the server. Happen to me once where i can login without proxy

Still using 174.x ip to play LoL without any proxy software. Seem like they dont block this ip.

yeah it worked just fine......i've been using ultrasurf since they restricted the server and it works just fine.....

Added on May 24, 2010, 1:37 pmi think for a DoTA player this game may not be their type of games because the game have many new mechanic such as brush....heroes without mana summoner spell,runes and many more the game caters for difference type of audience.....while HoN is just 100% DoTA rip-off....this game is taking a difference approach.....its a bit annoying at first but once you get used to it.....you will find the game way enjoyable and fun to play.....IMHO

Oh,I see,but guys,to those who don't want to use Ultrasurf or can't get it to work like me use this instead:IP Fix

Easy to do,just download the html file and paste it into your LoL game folder,when it asks you to replace,click Yes..Simple and easy,no virus..no install,it's just a folder,if you go to your LoL folder also you can see there is a html folder there,I don't know how that guy did it,but it works just fine

And,bout the gameplay,haiz,I find HoN much better..maybe cos more used to it..this one,totally different,the lanes are shorter,graphics more cartoonish,maybe I just must play more to adapt..

yeah its a bit annoying at first with all the summoner spell thingy but once you get used to it......its not that bad...!!! FYI i used to play HoN before playing League at first i just don't know wtf is this game all about.....but when i practice more and more with their stopid bot i find hey this game is not bad at all......but you do need to get used to it before playing with people.....but once you master it....you will go WOW!! just like me i abandon HoN after playing League furthermore with the IP restricted S2 have been implement i just have to gave up upon the DoTA clone and playing this new Gem!!!.....Peace OUT!!

Heh. And here I nearly lost hope at the fact that most people can't see past the so called "Cartoony" graphics.

Seriously people, give this a try, with a proxy of course. It's fun, it's MUCH FASTER than DotA/HoN, and it's MORE INTUITIVE. It's seriously easier to play and get into than DotA and HoN, but yet has a second level of depth to it so that it's hard to master.

play using proxy not affect the speed drastically man?

Delay is usually the same without proxy. Lag depends on your line.

It's playable up to 400 ping. I've seen people owning with 600+ ping too. So I'd say it isn't really that big of an disadvantage unless you're playing with people from Cali with imba 80-90 pings.

hmmm i am curious why gayrena did not hack LoL already yet?

i thought nothing nothing escapes them?
