em.. how to know is AP? i bought at a phone shop at Hong Kong

Any phones bought outside malaysia is considered AP set.

not really. there are phones purchased in malaysia but not from authorized distributor, those are AP sets as well
and some phones bought from overseas, those are not AP sets, but water set

orh,then is unable to update to v30?

Can , there always a solution to solve the probelm

check ur product code first
then change to malaysia product code then only can update
after that change back the product code to ori product code

i just update to v30...any way i can downgrade back to v21? how?

Myself still using v20. No time to update lol.

for those who hav prob with garmin slow locking after updating to firmware v30,

i dunno if this helps, but after updating, i tried locking to the satellites with AGPS, after 10 mins, still cannot -_-lll
but prob solved after a restart, locking within 10 secs

well ive never tried locking with AGPS but seriously im going nuts trying to get even 2 bars......
i would advice the whole world not to upgrade to v30 as i dun c any majordiff in terms of speed or functionality..
now i waiting desperately for v31, hoping that it will solve the turtoise speed locking issue.

i've never bothered to lock on to satellites without AGPS unless im staying still,
location issue maybe?
cause i've got full bar after locking in just now

i also can lock just fine
estimated lock time < 10 seconds with a-gps
but locking time is faster in v21

can... u install an app called "pencil" lar...

HOw long does the battery last in ur phone?
Mine can't last more than 1 day...
jsut normal usage, i dun even listen to song or anything
occasional web browsing, that's it...
is this normal for 5800?

normal usage my 5800 can last 3 days.
If heavy mp3,games and BT 1 day flat

mine 24hour wifi (retrieve email and blah3x) can last 1.5days
normal usage = 3 days

That is after u kill all those unused application or before?
cos i just got my dev cert
haven't use killme to close unwanted apps yet...
