QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Aug 30 2009, 03:48 PM) Shitty performance? You never watched the game properly so STFU. We were in no way inferior to MU last night, so don't you call us shitty. Where were you when we were thrashing Everton and Pompey? Nowhere, because you have nothing to crap about the team when we were winning convincingly. thanks fr the highlightsAll hail HOLY SAINT NON-WHINER FOOTBALL FAN !!! Geesh. We are real supporters that's why we are passionate about the team. And when our team is being judged unfairly, it's only natural we defend it. You're just another bratty fan who come and wind us up whenever we lose, but when we win you don't even dare come close. Shoo, and don't give the other MU fans here a bad name. Anyway, enough with you people. Highlights below: http://rapidshare.com/files/273258282/Man_..._albiondean.avi |

match report from "official" site of Manchester United, oops, the Premier League
QUOTE The former Zenit St Petersburg man made a conscious effort to place a shot towards the top corner. Foster was not the only anxious face to watch it drift narrowly wide. "Official" Site of the Premier LeagueThen Darren Fletcher slid into Arshavin and despite winning the ball, Arsenal claimed for a penalty. Referee Mike Dean was standing near enough to make the perfect decision and waved the shout away. damn even arsenal.com's match report is more neutral than "Official" Site of the Premier League . It's obvious they're biased This post has been edited by chika138: Aug 30 2009, 04:25 PM |

Arsenal have played best in Old Trafford for years... nevermind they lost... MU look woeful the whole game round.
It is still early in the Season, only august and september coming round. We will beat MU in when they come to visit. |

It was a good game this morning, but I really hate it when we had to lose like tht. The commentator earlier said before the game, a big match like this can be won in just a split second moment of brilliance, & can be lost with a moment of stupidity & madness. How true. Arshavin showed us the moment of brilliance, & Diaby showed us the moment of madness. There's only one way I can understand why he headed the ball there, he wanted to give the ball to Almunia.
I think Andy Gray said tht Almunia shud come & claim the ball. I think he's right. But then again, he must've shouted at his defenders to clear the ball but instead it ended up in his goal. On the Rooney's penalty, it was a penalty, no doubt about tht. When Almunia 1st went 4 the ball I really thot he could get to it 1st. But Rooney was faster. Almunia already committed himself, & I really dun see tht it could happen any other way. He had to go out. Rooney was just quicker, tht's all. Folks, can we just ignore this morons who come in here & talk trash ? Just ignore them. Lama2 diorg penat la tu. Replying to their comments will make them bolder & more aggressive. & honestly, I think they can only talk like tht here, in the cyberspace. In the real world, the one tht we live in now, if they talk tht way, I dun think they'll live to see another day. This post has been edited by tenno: Aug 30 2009, 05:39 PM |

QUOTE(punditski @ Aug 30 2009, 11:47 AM) Added on August 30, 2009, 11:49 am That's the blunt truth unfortunately... Almunia indeed did not get the ball and made contact with Rooney and thus it's a penalty.... Don't get me wrong tho, i'm a Gooner fan as well... Jus trying to see things from a more neutral point of view as i understand that we all feel hard done by the charge against eduardo and we have a penalty awarded against us.... |

QUOTE(Tak3shi @ Aug 30 2009, 04:07 PM) Both side misplace passes. It was that kind of a game with both sides looking to cancel each other out. But Giggs was frustrating in the first half at least. He had a lot of good chances to create something but always found a way to mess them up. quoted from MU Thread. We had a lot of final pass in the end, but one way or another, we mess them up at crucial times. And in the first half if it wasn't for Giggs somehow messing them up, we would have a lot. It's only 5 games into the season, so you would expect them not to be at their best yet in terms of team play. Arsenal played with more intent of getting the win? What kind of bull is that. We both wanted to win the match... we're the one who got the 2nd goal, and of course they would try their best to get their own 2nd goal so they won't lose. They mess up, just like we did when we should have got the 3rd goal.. Bad tactics? It was perfect to counter Arsenal with their movement. As shown in the past that formation is effective for the big games although it doesn't always look pretty on the eye. What do you suggest then? We play 442 with the same player on the right wing? Same thing.. As for our creativity, this is the midfield for the last few seasons which supported our attacks to great effect. You've been banging on and on about it, but name me again who started in midfield last few seasons? It's not about looking back at the past, but if we are so crap, we wouldn't have managed to score so many goals or even be as successful as we did, with or without Ronaldo. Last few seasons we had Ronaldo, who could score with either foot, head, had great finishing ability, freekicks, opened up play by drawing defenders to him, outside shot, had great chemistry for the link up plays, could hold the ball. And even with him we got outplayed in the Champions League, now after having lost our most influential player, replace by one with only 1/2 of his abilities. Unlike you i'm not bias, all of them were chasing us all over the pitch, harrying our def/mid/att. Some of our players were too busy ball watching to bother helping out, i could say almost all of the Arsenal players were closing down the entire pitch, look at the number of interceptions they got compared to us, we could not hold the ball for even 2seconds before they come and double team us. Whereas, they had the ball some of our players were often watching and waiting for it. I'm not saying we played that badly but if we wanted to win it was about 8/10 while arsenal was about 9/10. Btw, i'm impressed with the few times valencia and nani backtracked to help defend. after reading so much from Tak3shi, now i realize that he is a MU fan. no wonder he kept bashing arsenal's players and the manager here.. lol i wonder y do we bother entertaining him This post has been edited by kuai_chai: Aug 30 2009, 06:49 PM |

QUOTE(Tak3shi @ Aug 30 2009, 03:53 PM) Rofl, that is your assumption, i like the way arsenal play and i think they are 1 of the 2 most entertaining sides in the league, but your whining makes me think that some of you don't deserve to be supporters of such a good team. ROFL. I couldn't care less if you praised Fabregas or Rooney or Drogba or Essien. I don't even care whether you like our play or not. I'd pay to watch Arsenal play but not if i have to sit with half you whiners out there. P.s I praised essien in the Chelsea's thread, because they deserved it. And they didn't b**** about other teams, go whine but if you make attacks on other clubs, they have the right to defend themselves to. If not go post on a private forum. And yes, a good team such as ours only deserve fans like you. Someone build a church for this non-whining, holier than thou fella. QUOTE(odieseven @ Aug 30 2009, 04:05 PM) Eh don't include Gr3y, he's one of us.QUOTE(tenno @ Aug 30 2009, 05:38 PM) It was a good game this morning, but I really hate it when we had to lose like tht. Arshavin showed us the moment of brilliance, & Diaby showed us the moment of madness. There's only one way I can understand why he headed the ball there, he wanted to give the ball to Almunia. As mentioned in my half time report yesterday night, this is the match where the team which makes the least mistakes will win, not the team which played better. I think Andy Gray said tht Almunia shud come & claim the ball. I think he's right. But then again, he must've shouted at his defenders to clear the ball but instead it ended up in his goal. I refuse to blame anyone in our team for the loss, be it Diaby or Manny. Diaby was pretty good apart from the unfortunate mistake, and honestly accidents can happen to anyone. Manny came out for the ball and for any keeper, a moment of hesitation is deadly. If he chose to stay back, he should stick back; but if he has already come out, then go full stretch to stop the attacker. He's nowhere near Jens or Seaman at their very best, but as long as he gives his all I'm not going to single him out for blame. It's expected that decisions will go against us after what happened vs Celtic, but let's see whether Rooney gets any retrospective charges or not. Eboue got himself booked for the dive so can't complain too much about that, yet like Dudu, Rooney got himself a penalty. Who wants to bet that Rooney ain't gonna get anything against him? http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/8425/1251570349756.gif Goodplaya sums everything up and I believe everyone here will agree with him. http://www.goodplaya.com/playa-ratings/wen...player-ratings/ This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Aug 30 2009, 07:24 PM |

Wenger to get apology from Hackett
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger can expect an apology from Premier League referees chief Keith Hackett following his dismissal at Manchester United. League Managers Association chief executive Richard Bevan has spoken to Hackett about the Old Trafford incident which saw Wenger sent to the stands by referee Mike Dean on the advice of fourth official Lee Probert. And he has been told that Wenger will receive an apology from the Premier Game Match Officials Board which appoints officials to top-flight games in England. The Gunners boss caught Probert's attention when he kicked an empty water bottle down the touchline following a disallowed goal for Arsenal. There was then confusion as Wenger seemed unaware of where he was supposed to go - moving first to the back of Arsenal dugout then starting to walk down the touchline as the whistle was blown. On the decision to penalise Wenger, Bevan said: "Although correct in 'law', it was completely out of context in the game and it was followed by the nonsense which followed over where Arsene Wenger should sit." He added: "I've spoken to Keith Hackett and he fully recognises the situation was an error and an apology will follow to Arsene Wenger. "Lee Probert totally failed to manage the situation and created a needless pressure point taking the focus away from the pitch in a big event with only a minute to go." http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...5524449,00.html This post has been edited by solstice818: Aug 30 2009, 08:18 PM |
