Yes, PS3 Slim can decode Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA internally, even the old PS3 can. But this new PS3 Slim can bitstream those audio codecs, something the old one can't. You'll need an AVR that at least can accept multi-channel PCM, which is the decoded HD signal from the PS3. If you can get an AVR that can decode these HD codecs then you can bitstream for the AVR to decode. |

Yesterday visit 1 AV store and the guy inform me that to enjoy TrueHD audio from PS3 slim, i need an AVR with TrueHD codec and he recommend Denon 1909 or Pioneer 819 AVR..
