It depends on market sentiment.

Market good time, generally most IPO can register some premium during first day.
Market bad time, loss 10-20% also norm.

There is no sure earn.

But with the amount of liquidity potentially pouring in (since it doesn't take a lot to goreng Malaysia?), the probability of gaining from IPOs would be higher?

Just my view.

70sen profit IF it were to compare to old days IPOs , means chicken feed.

Those days, people did not jump up like the way people do jump now.

Kinda expected normal returns in those days than the unexpected high returns in today.

Many could curse it on bad luck IF they gained only 70sen.

You are absolutely right. Nestle's IPO in the 1980s at RM5.20 fetched RM9-30 on its first day of listing. Sadly, I sold at RM9-30

If I were apply IPO thru M2U, it required 15digit CDS no while my existing apex cds only got 9digit..

Someone can help?

Normally first 6 digits is broker number, something like like 056-001 or something like that...

I had the same problem too. My dad's CDS has 15 digits and mine is 9 digits. So I called up and found out the maybe the last 9 digits are unique. For mine, the first 6 digits are: 065001. Hope it helps.

this is a new feature from public bank, to let you purchase IPO through ebanking like what CIMB maybank doing now.
But since this is new so the recent IPO still not in the list (like chemical), i personally doublecheck with them why that not in the list

Depends what is on offer loh... But sometime not offer through e-channel, have to go atm, sometime not offer through all e-channels, maybe this bank has the others don't have etc, got to check when new IPO launch...

E-IPO is just created by PBB recently, so i think next IPO will be in their list, and as the other forumer said not all will be available in E-IPO but in ATM.
