levels is nt important in GW2...
if u do all the hearts and events together with ur personal story, ur lvl would be perfectly fine...
GW2 is nt like the other games where ur level advantage matter cause ur lvl would be scaled down to the suitable level for an area (let say if u are lvl 40 u go into a lvl 20 area u will be lvl 20... this system is known as the effective level)...
so no point to level...

i have been playing in most of the GW2 events so far and i would say the main concern is on money rather than level lolx...
since it is beta, take ur time to explore the map, it is a beauty on max settings and u will level up in-line with it...
*
dafuq why u get to play in earlier beta weekends event le fuuuuu.

by the way what professions u tried out? how does the regeneration boon works?

Added on April 26, 2012, 3:11 pmwell i believe levels still matter a bit, somewhat, in world vs world etc.

since lower level means lower choice of traits etc.

if u level too fast, ur gears/ professions are not in line with it which still make u weak...
so far i find the best is to jz go with the flow...
if u wanna spend ur gems, spend it on the crafting one...

tried guardian, elementalist, ranger, warrior and thief...

i minat the passive health regeneration from signet and adrenal health trait.

and whats up with the crafting boost o?
how does crafting works?

gears, means weapons, need to find better ones as we level up?
armor, need to craft better ones etc?

i didnt play much on warrior (i gonna be a warrior for retail so i dun wanna spoil my experience when the game is out)...

regeneration is basically passive health over time thing...
from my experience with my guardian, it is a welcome addition when u are going to be defensive (for example mace+shield guardians)...
if u are going all out offensive then it is useless...
so u would customize urself which playstyle u wanna be...
u will regain health very fast out of combat so this is only for combat =)

crafting basically give u experience so u can level up whichever crafting u are doing...
there is a random proc which give u more experience...
thus, the crafting boost increases that proc chance...
tat way u lvl ur crafting faster else u would need more crafting mats to level them up...

gears means weapon and armor...
crafting/ karma gears are always better (if u leave out dungeons and world bosses/ events drops)...
and yes, it would be better if u find better one as u level up...

tat's why i suggest for u guys to jz go with the flow and enjoy the game at the beta stage...
explore around, report any bugs u get etc...
u can even make recommendations depending on what u feel etc...

or melee combo inside with finishers etc...
i didnt have a group of ppl to test it out but there are moments which i did managed to combo out by accident with random strangers when we are doing events lol...

it matters a lot in combat...
dun forget u are suppose to dodge, shield, interrupt, knockdown, knockback etc...
those will help u a lot to stay alive (btw this game would be kinda hard for some ppl, it is nt tank/ spank game so expect to be downed a lot lolx)...

jz tat if u decided to go offensive, it is better to specialize in offensive utility skills rather than throwing some defensive ones in...
