QUOTE(hkhk @ Aug 24 2009, 02:12 AM) as a newbie.. i would choose the tele lens .. i second that....the extra MPs are depend on the needs..learn to compose well using camera & lenses rather than cropping later using photoshop.. buy a kit...train with the basics...then buy a flash... after all then only consider a second lense... eh arief, you are from Muar ? hehe
Just want to share, short explanation from Digital Camera Magazine about filters : With filters, you get what you pay for. The inexpensive ones may be inadequately coated to suppress flare or insufficiently hardened to minimize abrasion. Filters from reliable manufacturers such as B+W, Cokin, Hoya, Lee, Singh-Ray, and Tiffen won't compromise sharpness or contrast. But adding a glass surface to the outer lens barrel increases the chance of flare when light strikes it at oblique angles, so always use a lenshood. |

Pics from the trip!! show show!QUOTE(soulfly @ Aug 23 2009, 05:10 AM) Added on August 23, 2009, 5:14 amAs far as I'm concerned, 3rd party battery grip like Phottix/Travor/Octopus reads 2 batteries as 1, and they only display 1 battery reading (either just battery 1 or just battery 2). No percentage. |

QUOTE(immpulse @ Aug 24 2009, 02:21 AM) The tele lens are SAL55200 rite? What are the specialty of this lens actually? I did tried to search anywhere, but still didnt understand.. Pls tell me.. i used to own this lens...in fact i own it twice!!! my personal verdict for this lens is, its quite useful in most of the time...normally, tele lens start at 70m, which sometimes too 'sempit' for me...focusing in a good lighting was ok, although hunting at low light. the size was compact too...can easily fit in normal sling bag while being attach to camera...picture quality is good considering to its price...nice, sharp and good bokeh too...i guess you can get the good 2nd hand unit at around rm450-500 |
