Believe me, just use the anti-slip mat from you car, it works like a charm, and work for retaining any size, so no need to buy the removal tool each time you buy new light. biggrin.gif

took the advice and tried it this afternoon, but still can"t get it to come out. could it be a different anti slip mat? anyway..bro newspaper pointed out that the retaining tool for light doubles as a diffuser. so not much loss there.. hehe.. thnx for the advice btw.

1 question. do u heat up the bezel part a little for it to come out easier. cause i search on google that some ppl suggested heating it up a lil to remove the bezel part for the surefire g2 and since this is a clone i though this might apply? hmm.gif

very true.....but having a proper tool is even better ma....more pro and also ease of use....lol

anyway i suggested to him to get the G5's diffuser as it served as retaining ring removal too [ 2 in 1 usage ]....

Yeap, it's actually alot of cost saving. Wish I could take on D-Mini, but oh well.

Newspaper don't forget my Vantage teleforce (silver) yeah brows.gif Talking abt vantage, I didn't regret getting it. The light looks so good, and the build quality is awesome. First impression looked like normal to me. But after giving it some good use, the light's actually very reliable. I made a simple diffuser for it biggrin.gif

*Btw, newspaper, the small GB started by you, and you have a special talent for getting this sort of deals. Without you don't think we'll even begin to get all of these damn good offer and niche market lights in. So, you should be Presiden tongue.gif

And it shouldn't be your last GB. Just take a break, until you get addicted to another release, open GB whistling.gif wakakaka

Also whatever additional cost/tax, just mention, the GB participants should cover it, but not out of your own pocket money la. icon_rolleyes.gif

just got the anglelight.
darn it my gp recyko doesn't fit...it can go in but was a pain to take out.
in the end had to use superglue to stick it and pull it out. But other batts are fine.

First impressions:
1. Feels very solid, doesn't feel plasticky.
2. Switch is way too hard to press.
3. Standard XR-E cree rings but totally ok.
4. Diffuser is merely ok in it's performance, fits snugly onto the head.

That is strange, I have many SS retaining, and it open with the anti slip mat easily, maybe show me the picture of the anti slip mat you use, and put them between your palm and the retaining ring, the twist it. Wait is the retaining ring is inside the bezel?? Usually a SS retaining should be outside to double as a protection to the bezel. blink.gif

Oh, its a Nitecore D10 clip?

Yeah, RRT 0 clip is not that good, a half round clip on the body does not feel solid, but I not going to use it anyway. But the D10 clip looks solid though, could try.

The mirror finished was getting scuffed and it was a bit slippery on my Ti Preon I. So I took some 000 steel wool and buffed it length wise up and odwn the light by wrapping the steel wool and going up and down the light.

The results were nice! The etching was not affected at all, and it gave the light a true satin finish! No scratches, just satin.
