AWEEESSOME racquet.... still going It totally blew the rest of my collections away. But the biggest prob is i'm not sure is the string setup or the racq. But what i can say is the FEEL or hitting and punching that ball is so intense and nice ... The racquet is strung at 58lbs on Alu BB Rough and Babolat Xcel.. It's really a control oriented racquet but not sacrificing much in the power department. I thought the Dunlop 4D300 was an easy and "pop-ish" racq with extremely fast head speed but i think this storm almost replaced it completely with much gained control on the backhand. The POP on the STORM is so nice with ample sweetspot and each contact is crisp and perfect. It's a good balance between power & control compared to the more power-oriented racq (PDRGT). Hitting with it for 3hrs just now wasn't as tiring as the PDRGT and it is quite easy on the arms.

Volleying, i think Ben, u might seriously consider this for your "volley stick". My volley is not good i must admit, but with my limited volleying skill, i found easy and fast to maneuver thanks to the headlight configuration. Even each put away shot are solid.

Gurls and guys alike found it surprisingly easy to hit.. was a hit on the court just now.

Now i really gotta test it with another string to find out my experience with it just now was purely string setup or the racq .. lol. But so far i wud rate this the highest and probably the most enjoyable racq i had the pleasure of hitting with in a long long time. MORE so than my first experience with PDRGT. mm.... feel i gotta cheat more on PDRGT with this new baby.. lol. However i'll also try the luxilon BB rough & xcel on PDRGT to get a fair perspective.

wow so many ... yah today i woke up 7am also to make it for the 8am game. slow startup. and yes today is HOT like hell...by 9am was hot already one side.. but we managed to play till 1130am.... so i dunno how SSJBEN can start to play at 1pm. He told me he plays near your place in kg pandan sports complex ? isn't there where you play also aunty Z ?

overall i can't giv a real view on the pref yet as i yet to find out is the string setup or the racq. anyways i'll try the same setup on my pdrgt soon . Just came back fr stringing up the MSV FOCUS HEX on the PDRGT> BLUE on BLUE first time on MSV.. hope tomorrow will hav a good time with it as well...

as for PSGT. off the bat, a wonderful rack.. a better first time xperience compared to even my PDRGT. i'm glad the GT makes such a diff to even the PS and PDR. now in 1000% anticipation on the new APDC GT which u guys dun hav to poision .. SURELY GETTING !!!

let me try to answer all of them as best i can ..

1)... MSV is rm35 and yes blue string.
2) it's luxilon BB alu Rough. Xcel yes got it fr singapore. YES expensive.. here is about rm99 @ sportprises.
3) No idea on NXT, haven't had change to try .
4) WAs in Casa Subang coz i hate to play in the heat of the morning sun (unlike SSJBEN).. casa has better shades. I luv the PS GT.. so i think doesn't really matter anymore when i really think abt it to compare with the older one. So dun think i'll try to try out the older PS.
5) Crossfire all SOLD... I just left for myself 2 pieces onli.

For the buyer of my Crossfire II ( u know who u r ).. when n how u wanna pick up ? want me to pass to somebody to bring to you ?

anyways M2pro is good. i'm using that on my 4d300 and most ppl that hits with it will say it's one heck of a string.. very comfortable has a distinctive POpish sound and best thing.. doesn't move at all... dun hav to readjust. I think comparing M2 and the Prince Recoil... i prefer M2 anytime.

As for the alu power n Bc... i've tried so many textured strings... MSV, Alu spin, alu rough, pro hurricane, signum tornado twisted, etc... NONE compare to the BC yet. but still wanna find out 2 others that is in my HOT list... the Zo-Twist and Pro Supex BLUE GEAR (ordering soon both these)

well as tension goes .. PDRGT is the most powerful stick i've tried. and i've tried to use 52lbs on the signum tornado.. TOO damn powerful. so learn it the hard way .. i think pdrgt for soft poly .. you shud at least go about 56-58

wanna ask something regarding customization of racqs...

i've been experimenting with adding weights etc... but i'm wondering, correct me if i'm wrong...

If the sole purpose of adding weights on my PDRGT is to achieve torsional stability ONLY, We DO NOT counter weight it right ? Meaning we just add weights on 3 and 9 o'clock and not counter weight it inside the handle ? coz what i understand is counterweight is normally for head heavy racq and the PDRGT is 5pt head light.

for e.g. for my PDRGT , if adding 4g at the 3-9 o'clock... i dun hav to add another 4g inside the handle right ? Coz my rationale is if i add back the 4g nside the handle, wun that just make it back to square one ? meaning nothing done to the racq itself but only "weighting it heavier" for overall weight and not achieving my purpose of increasing torsional stabily ?

Coz after hitting the PSGT, i find all PDRGT has this funny metallic twanging sound and it twist quite easily if you are not hitting it at the sweet spot. Meaning if you contact the ball too near the edge of the side frames, it'll twist more.

So hope to hear some comments by more experienced players.
