Haha, Lawrence, good luck ya, guys, cut him some slack la, he just got it from friend not long, so need time and $$ to gather all stuff.
But I believe the end result should be nice, and I think we might be seeing Lawrence's name in LYN pet store often now. Haha. Hunting for good stuff for the Syrian. Neways, cute Ham you have, all nice colour. Love them. Hope you can get big big discount when you buy those tanks, I think just buy the 2ft tank from petshop and fast fast hunt for wheels in LYN pet store. Gd luck and want to see more of your pic! @Yana: I agree, more pic makes this place merrier. Hamster thread ma, so must have a lot of hamsters! Lets see, 13hour 28minutes more |

QUOTE(east_wing @ Sep 5 2009, 01:04 AM) Lawrence93 : congratz on new family members.. Bro,i guess u shud make ur own box la... what i can say is,the way to make it very easy, and save cost too.(just need to spend some times) There are some website that show the way to make a hams' house. Try to google it.. u have 8 syrians, that kinda big number family sure need a lot of space. buy a big Toyogo Box,then buy the silent wheel (with stand). Sure they will live happily. *just my opinion. I had that thought too, just have to go through all the procedures, the only troublesome part is the top, if you can figure it out, then its easy job for you. Lets see, 4hours and 33minutes. |

QUOTE(DtG4207 @ Sep 5 2009, 05:33 PM) hi ppl, if some of u remember, i posted something about my new WW that is incredibly hyperactive, territorial and very very bitey. it's been a week and while he seems a little more settled, it is still quite evident that he does not want anyone to lay hands on anything in his cage, he would literally run n bite me if i tried to do so obviously. the only times i get to touch him is when he's eating something he really likes and even so he does try to turn around for a bite once in awhile... i seriously doubt this is normal and am close to conceding that it is his personality with not much there is to do about it as he was the little bit extra active one in the cage when i bought him... i have kept syrians before and if their behaviour can be used as reference, i'm pretty sure my WW is not scared or stressed as he does seem rather settled, just very territorial... but before i give up on ever being able to handle him, what are your thoughts or suggestions on this situation? Lets give it a month, I bet sooner or later you can hand-handle your Ham. Just be patience, I know its hard to accept that even after a week there is no evident changes, I know it is frustrating since everyone wants them to be tame and good from the get-go, but given time and etc etc, you might be surprised, just don't give up yet!@Lalabubbles: Thanks for the advice, just too bad can't connect my cage with the OVO, maybe when the next gathering I will try bringing my cage out and let some of you guys try, maybe it can fit, but I'm afraid of spoiling it, as I have a tendency to break stuffs! Maybe its because my cage is not Habitrail. Haha. Well, just hope thats not the case. Thx again to Lalabubbles and IcedNyior! **was too excited, ended up reaching an hour earlier (thought would stuck in traffic) |

QUOTE(LalaBubbles @ Sep 5 2009, 08:03 PM) Erm...if u drop by at PJ sometimes...can make arrangement with me then we meet up and have a look at those connection parts ^^ Haha, its ok, since I was going to COD with two person, might as well wait. So me and my GF's little sister chit chat a little, seldom have chance to talk to her.Didn't know u came early today lol...should have sms me then I will come earlier Anyway, hope u and ur gf like the hamsters... I suppose by now they have already settled down and been resting for sometime...hehe... Now they are asleep, somehow lucky GF not here, haha, cause if she is here, sure kacau them, don't let them sleep one. So now I just let them enjoy a good sleep, then tonight/early morning when GF comes back (4am), we will play with them. Hehe. Will upload pic by the next few days. Sure thing, next time I bring the cage/tubes/connectors and them out also la, so you can see them, but most likely just going to Sunway sometime next week. Cause don't want to waste petrol traveling liao. Hehe. This month used up quite a portion of my salary + allowance. |

QUOTE(LalaBubbles @ Sep 6 2009, 12:42 AM) One of my baby hamsters died just now... I was seriously so sad and depressed. went to drink some alcohol... Actually one of the babies I COD-ed also passed away that night, she was acting a little strange, but still moving, sleeping. So I thought just let them rest after feeding them water, then I went to find GF and came back about 6am, only to find that one of the babies has passed away. We were so sad, they came in pairs, and now one of them is gone. It's my fault bringing all them out today... I feel so sorry for them... Been with them for a month... and really feel so bad... the weather today is really hot... I think the death is cause by stress and hot... Initially, it was a good day today... get to COD with NoiZy seeing him so happy this afternoon. Then suddenly tonight when I went to see the hamsters, saw a white baby WW lying there not moving anymore... my heart was like falling out. Took me sometime accept it... I M SO SORRY BABY !!! PLEASE FORGIVE ME !!! Still worried about the other one now, don't know whether does she knows where the water is (OVO pad), tried feeding her with water bottle but she pushes it away. Even feeding kuachi also she don't want! I even open the kuachi for her, but to no avail, and she don't seem like eating much. Is this normal for a baby? All we noticed was that she eats some grains, but thats it. I even boiled an egg for her, just ripped off some of the egg white for her, but she don't want it. She is rather scared of us now, wonder does it have to do with us being strangers or the death of her sister? But lucky she don't bite, at least not yet. She is rather active though, I think, as even now when I look at her, she is not sleeping, either hiding, or running around. I wonder does she have enough sleep. As I am typing, I can hear her digging around the wheel there. We named her Speedy, and pics will be uploaded soon. p/s: sorry Lala, I really didn't know what happened to the other one. Maybe its my fault for not paying enough attention. |

QUOTE(sharkie28 @ Sep 7 2009, 09:20 PM) NOizy, cute hammy you've got there! should have named her muffin coz she looks like one » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I got it from Lala, since it's just one, so I think it should be large enough. Just now I emptied my drawer, and let her run in it, then she slept at a corner with the tissue shading her. Haha. I don't get what you mean by the water. Care to explain? QUOTE(eric138 @ Sep 7 2009, 09:21 PM) @Noizy, are those all seeds and kua ci inside the food bowl? Haha, actually there is some other stuff, carrot, egg white, some oxbow (a little only, given by Lala), but she manage to take them out and scattered it all over the place, here one there one.@Sharkie, i also using evo..wakakka...but full with extension.. The weird thing is, I tried feeding Kuachi to her, she ran away, I peeled open the kuachi and gave it to her, she didn't even bothered, ran away. Haha. But just now when I gave her some carrots, she ate it, just a few bites, then ran away. |

QUOTE(DtG4207 @ Sep 8 2009, 03:50 PM) well, i was hoping for pics of real hamsters to compare la as the diagrams weren't helping much.. but i think its a male la as now i'm startign to see the scent gland at the belly.... i've kept it for a week and a half now and he was really hyperactive in the shop. which is why i thought it was not really possible for him to put on weight so fast... now he's kinda lazy, sleeping on his wheel and eating while lying down on his back only running around occasionally at night.... kinda cute actually.. will post pics when i can aite... haha... Cheers!! Lets flood this thread with Hamster pictures!!! No matter what our hamster does, they will always have a cute side. Or maybe all sides are cute. Hehe |

Nevermind la, what has happen has happened. On the bright side of this thing, I learnt a few things, not to COD during hot weather, really didn't know it, thus causing a terrible loss on both financial and emotion towards Lala and me.
If you look at it another way, I am lucky as I just lost one and not two! So I will just love this one more. Well, if people throw golds/diamonds/BMWs, I might as well enroll into DBKL. Haha |
