lol ohiki, the carrot stone, wont do much actually. they love to bite the cage is because of the wire smell which is very tempting for hamster to bite around th cage. mine also like that. th best way to prevent tht is u put vinegar. as the strong smell can prevent them from bitting. but the vinegar smell is strong and will cause the whole house smell with vinegar too.
well for me i just let them be. they will bite. but once a while. is very normal. btw is better for you to read up more info about it ,if you dont plan on breeding winter white, th best is keep the same gender together, male with male or female with female. if the winter white male ,doesnt find the female suit him, or the female ww doesn't find the male suit her, fighting will occur. and the fighting if didnt separate will end up with death eventually. hope you double think about it. as ww sometime tends to be territory also. |

>< my god you go pour out the mother hamster plus her baby out? is best to left them untouch with minimun noise level for 3 weeks till 4 weeks max, before separating.
if the litters still young if we go disturb, higher chance the mother will canabalism the litters, as she feel threaten. btw how are you going to put it back? |

they can be alone no worry babybb, just our human feeling when seeing thing alone, we try to match them up. For hamster wise, if they alone from the begining, they are doing great actually. if want to match them up you need to be prepare fighting will occurs. as the present hamster you own already have his own territory. if he dont mind to share , than is a good thing. if he does mind, then be prepare to prepare a wire mesh to put in between the cage, where they have nose to nose contact, once they accept each other scent, is fine to mix them up. ^^

QUOTE(danielle_brandon @ Jan 27 2011, 12:04 AM) i thought she was getting better after taking the med from the vet but she left me this morning. i think she's too tiny & weak to fight for her life. i still remember i picked her out from the bunch of hamsters in the petstore because she is the tiniest there & thought she wouldn't have survived over there due to that. Added on January 27, 2011, 12:16 am QUOTE(Candlenie @ Jan 26 2011, 11:37 PM) i think thats what hamsters do...eat>slp>eat>slp again. haha true tht what hamster do, boring right sometime. LOL cant play with you like a companion but can see their acting mostly. if male licking her private part , either help her to wash, or he want to find out whether your female hammy on heat. hmmm wondering what the male is doing though...biting/licking her private part...sometimes she make noise @@ This post has been edited by JXplod: Jan 27 2011, 12:16 AM |
