nay.both of it will shorten your hammie's lifespan.because it will make ur hammie hard to breathe

Campbell and Winter White are the same thing.
but..i think Campbell are more aggresive than Winter White..
so its better to get Winter White..

By the way, my dad asked if hamsters know if there are no humans around. We left Min alone for a few days for CNY, and she completely turned the tank upside down. A total mess XD

Good thing we glued the wheel or else it would have toppled over too.

She never does this when we were home, only when we were not there.

hamsters are active and u need to play with them often... if not they play with whatever is inside the tank lo....

dont simply use any glue which is within reach of the hamster... ur hamster might lick/chew/bite it....

1 thing i come across is ~ i really cant see any pet shop that really take good k of the hamster~ most of them where just left there~ no one cares what happen to them~ soooooo which pet shop that is recommended to go (with many choice of different breed hammie / healthy / clean / well taken care)

my hammy perut getting bigger an bigger!!!!! she is pregnant de oo...wat the best food for her now??..try go buy mealworm...but the ppl told me not to feed it cause later the baby out de..it will eat the baby...
can i give her eat cheese???

the mealies wont gona made it...they cant touch the babies.lolz.

if u still scared.try to put about 1 or 2 mealies once..dont just put a beg of them in there..

cause now my hammy still pregnant..the pet shop ppl say...scared now she pregnant eat live thing the went baby born out de...it will eat...nvm...so...it can eat cheese ma??? and any recommed thing for her be4 she give birth?

jz feed her like normal can d lo... dun need tension so much laa... hamsters can take care of themselves...

@minc3: If you are afraid of being bitten, I would recommend to get from a breeder instead of shop, try Lala to see if he is selling. About breeding, if you don't plan to, then don't get opposite sex, and don't house them together, the reason why everybody feels hamsters needs a companion (same/opp sex) is due to marketing strategy, they are SOLITARY, they are ok alone, if you want to have more than one AND no breeding, get siblings (brothers OR sisters), chances of fighting are less, but just prepare a spare cage just in case they start fighting, when they are young, they don't fight yet, but once they grow older, they are more dominant and thus fight occurs.

Sand i'm not sure what to suggest, but for the bedding, I will suggest Breeder Celect, if you are on a budget, get Chipsi Super or Chipsi Classic, don't get those Pine bedding or scented ones. What I do for mine is about 70% breeder celect mix with 30% Chipsi Classic. Chipsi's bedding won't last long (it will start to smell fast, normally within a week) while breeder celect last a little longer (up to two weeks), so you do the math on cost effectiveness in the long run.
If you have trouble in finding Breeder Celect or any other items, try Pet Shack. Many of us will recommend it, and I think most of us buys from them especially the smoothie and all.

Depends on your hamster species. WW and RC can live to about 2 years. Robos 3 to 5 years, syrians about 2 to 3 years.

erm~ why izzit seems like not eating much huh? (compare to the syrian i adopted long time ago)

i bought vitakraft, green pellets, and another kind of pellets.

he will always take the food into the toilet (i put the sand thing inside) to eat, shyt, pee all inside there and he even sleep inside too~

1 thing i found out is he only eats the sunflower seeds and he never touch other things (vitakraft) how to make him eat all huh?

he seems like dun eat much~ he will bite few bites and continue sleep and so on~

i'm using the double storey habitrail cage~ and he alwiz bite the cage ler~ how to prevent him to do so huh?

btw, the pet shop gave me a so-called "calcium block"~ it looks like a chalk to me~ white powder thing~ izzit safe to let him bite it?
