the first one: this happens to me only when the ps3 is busy doing something and i switch it off. sometimes when its trying to load an online map or something like this and takes too long i give up and switch off.

the second: happens to me a few times already. i dont think its any problem. someone might have simply unplugged the ps3 or something went wrong and it cleared the cache.

not much problem but just wanna know if anyone had the same problem

I think my lens is dying addy, some games can read some games cant read, sometimes need try a few times only can read ps3 games.

how old ?

I think 2 years plus or 3 years, its thee 60 gb version, could it be lens dirty? Isit recommended that I try cleaning the lens myseelf?

so now im considering between ps3 slim or fat... so my biggest concern is YLOD... so for this im thinking of getting one but not sure which... so any body have any idea what i should go with... i mean some good sugestion not something like just buy any or just take one or etc...

im getting from sony malaysia. is there any option for extended waranty and howlong....

if you are buying it soon then wait for the official ps3 slim MY set. if you cant wait then go buy the phat ps3 because got MY warranty. I think the slim ones are still SG sets.

I wanna play ps3 on my lcd monitor tat only have VGA & DVI input..
SO isit i just have to buy HDMI to VGA/DVI cable to connect ps3 to my lcd?
OR i have to buy a sort of expensive adapter?

make sure your monitor support HDCP. Read first page how to connect your ps3 to lcd monitor

guys,izzit good playing ps3 games on nowadays 1920x1080 full hd lcd monitors?since most ps3 games 720p only,will it produces poor picture quality?

cuz im thinkin getting a new lcd monitor to play ps3(cant afford good hdtv ),so is 1080p monitor good to go?or should i stick to 1680x1050 monitors?(cuz last time used this res and pic ok oni)

Hey guys. I have a problem with my ps3. and i taught of asking u guys, see if anyone knows whats the solution to my problem. Would really want to know if its my connection's the problem or my playstaion 3 harddisk or my router or etc.

Okay, sometimes when I download a demo from psn, I could say almost 60% of my download will end up corrupted. or mayb 70%.
Corrupted as in,

1. when its downloading up tp a certain percentage and it says "error in somethisn something"

OR

2. when its 100% downloaded and starts to INSTALL to a certain percentage and the "error" thingy came up.

Up till now, i cant install Uncharted 2, batman demo. I tried using proxy but its also the same. Depends on my luck. Its quiet frustrating at times, having to wait so long for the download only to end up being a corrupted files.

Another one is when I'm playing fatprincess online, I will get hangged in the middle of my game and i cant even exit by pressing my ps button which made me forcefully restart my ps3. (almost like the "lbp hang" but in lbp, its not so frequent but in fatprincess, it is.)

I kinda got a feeling its my connection but my friend says it could be my harddisk and he advice me to reformat my hdd. But with all the saved game/"succesfully downloaded demo/movies in my hdd, its hard.
So anyone here experince my probs?

p/s: My tmnet package is the 1mbps wired and i'm using a d-link router. i could either go wireless or wired(but i normally prefer wired when i'm downloading stuff)

update:
tried downloading bayonetta from japan psn. but failed. used proxy used wired but all the same. downloaded SIX times and the error mgs thing came up at EXACTLY 14% during installation. aih.........

its probably your connection. i mean does fat princess hang while playing offline or any other games for that matter? i had that problem before. esp with TMnet. i doubt its your HDD since the same thing happens while you are DLing using proxy. of course it could also just be your router or modem. but i would blame TM as a whole heheh.

i think its a good idea to reformat your hdd anyways if you have the time. spend some money and upgrade to a bigger drive. you can backup all your games/demos and all that on a seperate drive. as long as that drive is in fat32 format.
