inside the ps3 package normally we have the av cable, its a standard composite cable, on display standard resolution... crt tv


for component cables, sold separately - its an HD cable, supporting up to 1080p..

for picture quality, component is better than composite

of coz if u take account of hdmi

hdmi > component > composite

must go ps3 recovery mode ... rebuild database

How to Access Playstation Recovery Menu:
1 Turn off Playstation 3 (standby)
2 Hold The power button until it goes in standby again
3 Repeat step 2 this time it will beep once for display setting change then it will follow with 2 beeps
4 when you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button
5 you will be prompted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

as ps3 can output sound thru AV cable provided (2 channel stereo) to the speaker set system. (check settings in XMB)

Sorry to hear that. If the hdd corrupted, most of the savegames will get corrupted.

Its good that its still under warranty.

can you delete the game data, reinstall it again?... also restart ps3 afterwards...

the error still new... many ppl suffered in games like fifa10, mw2...etc

the gfx is beyond whats on pc atm ... take on uncharted 2

i'm from pc gaming to ps3... one reason: no budget for hi-end pc

ps3 ftw for years to come

psn acc = free
online gaming = free

There's other games that are much enjoyable, to play online..

found more fun playing on ps3 than pc atm... probably due to certain games and the community

one psn id = one email address

multiple psn accounts = multiple emails address

forgot to add

create NEW USER

each USER = psn id = email address

by having multiple users, meaning multiple psn id (thats y we have to maintain those email addresses)

sony keep sending newsletters to each of our email addresses...keep tracking it..

You need to do portforward or DMZ (all these settings have be done in the router)

the router block the connection, thus PS network failed to connect...
