yeah according to the old way you cannot swap hdd. but if it can then this is a new development. someone with 2 ps3's on 3.15 fw should try this lah.

You cannot swap HDDs between PS3s.

You can however use 2 HDDs on the same PS3 smile.gif

What do I mean?

You can swap your PS3s HDD with another HDD and use back the old one, provided you don't go about sticking it into other peoples PS3.

IINM, the PS3 can only use the HDD if it formatted it.

my ps3 is downstairs and it can only get 22% signal (from ps3's wifi status) and cant connect properly to my wag54g which is upstairs. but a laptop can access internet just fine from the ps3's location.

i gave up and opted for homeplug instead

my homeplug adapter is plugged into an extension shared with ps3's power cord. and the modem/router is connected to another homeplug adapter upstairs.

the signal strength fluctuation may be caused by interference (neighbours' wifi, microwave ovens, etc)

Hey Guys,i need some advice and feedback concerning my ps3. I bought RE5 in march and able to play it without problems in the first 4 months, then in the fifth month when i place the game in it just hangs and goes blank, have to restart the console after ejecting the disc. Then tried again for a few times with the same outcome...so just recently i gave my cousin to test it out at his console and it works perfectly fine  rclxub.gif  ...i now there's nothing wrong with the console because i've been playing more than 10 games without any issues, just the RE5.

Your help will be much appreciated  icon_question.gif  cry.gif

@ Panda-man

Mine's the latest FW and i've check the BD disc countless times thinking there's a crack, but it looks perfectly mint, cause i treasure my games like a gf lol. So its really weird why it doesnt work just recently on my ps3 but it works fine on my cousin's... sad.gif

hopefully the inferior ps3 wifi adapter (which can only support up to wifiG) can get signal from your new N type modeRn/router
