Hi all....
Firstly, Happy Fasting to all muslim riders,

secondly, umm.. I may have comments about the Faito Chain and Sprocket set. I used the set before (415), and to my opinion, the chain set is useless. even I oiled them everyday, it can only last for 2 weeks. then, it started to make funny retarded sound. hahahaa.... and riding is not smooth. so I changed to RK Japan Gold color... (415)... this time, is better but is more expensive. I have not oiled my chain after 2 weeks now and still in perfect shape. no funny sound and very smooth.  buy expensive & high quality is better than cheap but didn't last. hope you have good times with your bike smile.gif
*
Haha your RK sure Quality good la.... i think just the chain only cost around RM200 right?

Guys, i need some help here. Today i just bought faito racing ignition coil and fork stabilizer. But then the tokei said ignition coil alone not good. So he convinced me to buy racing bee power booster. Too many ppl at the shop, so i went back home  to ask my local mechanics to install for me la.

The sad thing is he said power booster is not safe. He often found shot circuit at bikes using racing bee power booster. Sometimes shot circuit during riding. Then cannot start engine at all.  shocking.gif  rclxub.gif

Does anyone hv any experience at this? My bike is all stock.

Aiya since alrd buy than fix it first laa dont think too much after that really got short circuit than u take to the foreman see see.

Guys i think better not to use the RB rear disc brake system. First of all that brake not really that makan... This is from a few of my fren that using it let me know. Second of all that brake got a few complain from fren, say they brake jammed and also i see a few bike that using rb brake stuck at foreman shop coz of jammed..... This what my foreman suggest me for rear brake system, get a original Nissin caliper and master pump ( Price 150USD ++ ) or can get a second hand pump and caliper from 125Z than take the front disk from ur LC135 and move to the rear brake. So u need to change your front brake to a bigger disk, Probably need to refabricated the rear flange ( Not Sure Yet ). And you can use either RB Rim that can support rear Disc brake or other brand. Hopefully this will be usefull to u guys tongue.gif

QUOTE(alexei @ Sep 3 2009, 11:55 PM)
I'm not encouraging, or discouraging RB-RDB system.

My honest opinion lah...
1. Compared to drum brake, it is trickier to setup.
2. If setup properly, it works well, but faster overheat than drum brakes and will loose performance. With that, I do not encourage to hard brake on RDB. Mainly use RDB for slowing down. In fact, there are riders who don't use rear brakes at all, only gearing to slow down. In comparison, hard braking on the front doesn't generate this kind of problem.
4. Wet performance is bad. You should have a drum brake for backup.
5. Disc brake system tends to lock if not cared properly, and skidding in the rain is no fun...

Like TryX said, can also try used FXR or KIPS system or even front calipers with minor modification lah. Just make sure the bleeder is positioned correctly, not pointing down.

For RB-RDB, if want, can try DIY to setup the brake fluid and check brake pads...

Brembo ciplak I know RM80~100 can get. Red color, looks genuine. Some even have 4-pot caliper. Comes with brake pads.
Nissin - can try look around for Honda Wave front caliper... I dunno the price.
If got budget, suggest upgrade front disc better.
*
Cool idea can remix the brake caliper and the master pump from different type of bike Btw i think TZM brake caliper and master pump should be good enough for me. Where u park ur TZM arr Alexei? I think i wanna pay ur bike a visit this midnight. tongue.gif

im using osaki..
but dunno why the chain make some noisy sound..
*
Hehe maybe u seldom lubricated it? or u chain is too loosed? Very loosed chain will wear and tear your sprocket faster and causing your chain cant sit properly on the sprocket ( there where the sound come from ). If this out of control it will finally jump out from your sprocket biggrin.gif I experienced this before..... Luckily it doesn't jammed and cost my rear wheel to lock up........ So don't be lazy to maintain your chain regularly to keep it run smoothly smile.gif

Or you can try RK O-Ring 428 Chain they guarantee it too last for 20 000miles. This chain are use in Dirt bike competition, so no doubt it will last at least 3 - 5 years if use on street. I use one of that myself so i think the quality is superb!!! First of all very quiet. Second, Damn!!! I Din't adjust it for more than 4 month now and it still sit nicely on my spocket and no sign of the chain is getting loosed or my spocket teeth is getting sharp (Wear Tear). Guys, you can try google it and check-it-out. ( RK O-Ring 428 Chain ) By the way the chain look like the picture show below and the box is exactly same colour as the picture but i forget what the model No. If you stay in penang i know exactly where u can get it but if other place than i can't help ya...

QUOTE(alexei @ Sep 10 2009, 01:45 PM)
Chain size is the smaller the lighter. But cannot subject to high stress when pickup - notice chain elongate by pulling the chain on the rear sprocket, at the mid-point where chain meets and leaves the sprocket.

If you can lift parts of the chain away from sprocket, you're chain has elongated. Further use will damage the sprockets because mechanical force is only focused on the first 2~3 sprocket spikes. Change the chain now, or change the whole set later.

For long distance, cruising with smaller/lighter chain may reduce FC, not by much. To avoid chain wear and tear, use good sprockets that is perfectly round (spin wheel and chain should not travel up/down), align front/rear sprocket in straight line, and do not use immediately after chain lube - let it dry for at least 20mins. Service the chain every 300-500km.

For me, I'm asking for 428 O-ring for my bikes. Good chain for lazy man coz it keeps chain lube sealed up. But, expensive and heavier...

Good brands I know are DID, RK (Not RK-M, M=Malaysia???), SSS; not that I know a lot lah...

Hope this helps.
*
By the way that O-Ring chain is a thirsty beast whenever i spray lub to it. It will suck all the lub so fast and keep it at somewhere safe tongue.gif
