Well - it's a very solid counter IMHO and if they get a couple of crumbs from Mr. Najib's table (LCCT contract, maybe) I think you'll see very handsome returns.... hmm.gif

Do you think it will last to the end of the trading session?

Just wonder if any indicators expected this week will cause the punch-bowl to be removed from the party - before everyone's had a good time! laugh.gif

Let us hope OSK will fly to RM2. Btw

On behalf of the Board, OSK wishes to announce that the Board has determined the final basis of distribution for the Proposed Distribution in the following manner – five (5) OSKVI Shares for every thirty three (33) OSKH Shares held on the entitlement date to be determined and announced in due course.

Is this good? or Bad?

Well...it's good....

Have a lot of non related stocks. Example OSKProp. Sien
*
Well...that's the problem they have, isn't it? hmm.gif
They can't really make much money from their core business - so they look to diversify and create share-holder value through land-banking/property. It's a hugely unimaginative thing to do - but what do you expect from a bank and from those who work there??

TA is trying to do the same thing now by splitting their property arm off and saying they are going to buy hotels.

Very sad commentary - if you think about it - that these people can't find anything better to 'invest' in than property...... hmm.gif

Not exactly rocket science - is it??

not good idea actually, I can have a company with a core business and give out non-listed company share?--- > not solid base case for holding my money.

Sorry OSK, unless all the related companies are listed, I may buy OSK
*
Not sure I understand but - just to clarify:
I wasn't saying it was a good idea - and anyway, it doesn't stop me holding quite a substantial percentage of my portfolio in OSK shares blush.gif

Waseong is a good example of the retail investor being disadvantaged by this 30 minute trading suspension rule on company announcements thingie.

I have no idea why it would go up to 2.14 when it restarted trading at 10.15 am but obviously the trading houses with their access to analysis of of the Waseong announcement and its significance do know.... hmm.gif

Anyway - it went up! rclxm9.gif

imo,
KLCI is somewhat "expensive" already, the component stocks' PER is getting higher..
for eg, the big caps like Commerz, MBB, Axiata got PER > 15... and poor DY..
only government funds would be willing to goreng it up...

i remember when i bought AXIATA the PER was only 22, now 40+  sweat.gif

Surprisingly KLCI components are more "expensive" than STI and HSI in terms of PER.. (theedge)  doh.gif
*
The trick is to find value somewhere - but that's the hardest part hmm.gif
If the valuations of the FBM-KLCI are already considered high - what will happen when RM10 billion or so of 1Malaysia money hits the market in a month or two?
