Using R501 with my onboard AL650 Realtek AC97
Sound not bad either...at least up to par

this another 2 question:

1)If i'm using Audigy 2,how much % sound improve to my R501? (music/games/movie)
2)from the nforce APU tech brief from nvidia, (see attach) :

------a)can i using AV Amplifier with Dolby Digital 5.1 decoder on my R501
------b)if yes, what brand/model should i buy (i already contact nvidia but no feedback
until now)

1) For me, around 20% increase..noone can tell u exact figure

2) a) AV amp?? R501 has built in amp oledi.. so cant lo..
If u use AV amp connected to nforce soundstorm, then u need the speaker which without amp inside..

hi..juz be the owner of edifier r401 for few days...well i using the soundblaster 4.1D soundcard but i feel a litte bit "strange" output of the speaker...erm...should say like that...the sound quality not as i expected...if lets say i upgrade my soundcard to SB live(tight on budget) ..will i notify some difference?

whats your budget for a soundcard?
better soundcard will give u a better sound of course

below 150 if possible...

sound blaster live is ok for normal use if ur requirement on the quality is not really high...
it depends on ur requirement actually
why not u tell us ur budget and we can suggest u getting a soundcard?
and someone selling Audigy LS for Rm140(nego) in Garage Sales..
Audigy LS is quite a good card
24-bits too..... so u can consider that card..

n play with ur R401
is nice too

By the way, using R501+SB Audigy LS. now,worry about my remote control coz when i goyang,can heard some sound but still function~

u guys agak agak how much does the NEW S2.1D costs when it 1st launched mid next year?

It may be due to the driver still very stiff, try to burn in the speaker..
