sometimes if u having problem wif ap phone , is hard for u to change it again , sometime 140 different will give me a peace in my mind when using it...

no need worry bout explosion , battery faulty , ..

all the phone will have problem some day, is just the matter when ?
and when it does, in term of convenient , how much will they charge u for it , and the duration of servicing.. and nowadays hard to trust mobile phone seller as there is many cases of ppl getting conned for having faulty phone after servicing or part being replace wif non original item ..

i shall post here if i manage to change...
or if any of u guys r successful in doing so, pls inform

so many time i reinstall the garmin..
still same... map still black, and just blue arrow

the GPS only get 1-5% coverage...

Anyway...my fren LG cookies also have a soft touch area..but the screen feels more 'spongy' ... the screen will sunk when u press hard on it...but it will bounce back when u lift your fingers...

My 5800XM screen will sunk also when i press....but the overall quality and mechanism of the screen dun feel as solid and rigid as the LG cookies..

But got one advantage of it....5800M is much more responsive...

where did u get ur map source =S

what maps you using? me using MFM V1.66 ...no problem

And try using A-GPS to start up and lock first....after gain a lock....u can turn off A-GPS and use integrated GPS alone..this way u can get locking faster

u mean setting in garmin or mobile GPS setting ?

how do we actually use A-GPS using garmin? i set it to ask, but it doesnt ask oso.. if using nokia map, it will ask (blur2)

menu > apps > location > positioning > positioning methods > assisted gps > enable

r u out, in open area?
coz if ur indoor, dun expect a lock. it probably wont.
if u've not got ur first lock b4 (satellite signal never turn green b4), u might havta expect a longer time, mebe few minutes
if it's gotten green, n d map is still black, mebe u shud consider re-download ur map

I also have problem with Garmin XT after firmware update. Previously I could get a lock to GPS satellite within a couple of mins using just Integrated GPS. Now I could not get any signal (not even a single red bar) after waiting in the open for over 20 mins. However if I enable A-GPS I could get a lock in less than 30 seconds. Although it cost only 10 sen per lock for data usage it adds up. If you do this several times a day the total cost per month is quite substantial. That's why I usually disable A-GPS unless I need to connect urgently. Anybody with such problem? By the way I reinstalled Garmin but no improvement.

i have a problem of uninstalling apps.

i got this error message.

"uninstallation failed:"
Unable to uninstall application. error occured.

then i check the details i get

Internal Error:Sending stop app request to JavaCaptain failed.

can someone help me to uninstall some apps? it's happen when i hard reset my hp then i reinstall some games... which is unplayable. so i would like to uninstall those unplayable games.

I think you are just installed the GMXT and havent start using it rite?
The blue arrow in the black background map. If u see carefully, u might notice the word "EUROPE".

If the unit as describe above, probably your unit still havent lock to satellites yet. Go to clear sky area and try lock to satellites, after get signal enable, then the map will shown u at the place u are.

V 1.44 seems quite old........

Sorry, press the shift for 2 times, then you can get the CAPS LOCK
