Yup, you are right! Unless u get a nuvifone G60! hehe!

As for me, as long as the GMXT respond very close to nuvi i feel very happy already.

I did compare before, the voice prompt just about 1 sec or less lag than normal nuvi only.
it happened that once a while the GMXT prompt earlier than the nuvi.

yup, using GMXT will be a good choice for most of the people. So as for me. The only weakness of GMXT sometimes it will hang.

The iphone had released an update to new firmware OS 3.0 which enable more feature like MMS, cut & paste etc.....

the earlier comparison is a bit out of date.

However, when we compare the $, 5800 will make some sense.

Unless u r iphone fans and willing to spend the $ for it.

I think you are just installed the GMXT and havent start using it rite?
The blue arrow in the black background map. If u see carefully, u might notice the word "EUROPE".

If the unit as describe above, probably your unit still havent lock to satellites yet. Go to clear sky area and try lock to satellites, after get signal enable, then the map will shown u at the place u are.

choose the second will do. Get the latest version 1.68 instead of 1.67

Are u looking at the right folder?
Ok, after u run the mfmv168.exe, go to the folder u install in the hardisk look for x:\Garmin\malfreemaps folder (x mean the drive u installed it). Then, copy the gmapsupp.img and replace the gmapsupp.img in your phone SD card under Garmin folder.

mfm v168 is no much different than the earlier version, only some improvement and it is the latest release. Thank to the mappers who do the great job.

Run the GMXT in your phone
tap on the "tool"
tap on the "manage my data"
tap on the "map sets"

unfortunately, it doesnt shown the version of mfm maps

can u please use screenshot to snap some pic and post it here? see how we can help u to resolve it

run ur GMXT
tap on "tool"
tap on "settings"
tap on "map"
tap on "map detail"
try the "More" or "Most" and check back ur map?

If cannot, maybe check on the following
run ur GMXT
tap on "tool"
tap on "settings"
tap on "About"

I suspect ur GMXT is older version which is 4.20

Have u try checking on the "map details" already by changing "least" to "most"?
If yes and the problem still not resolve yet, maybe u can try upgrade to Ver 5.00.50?

So far, I know for GMXT ver 4.20.00 would have the map as u attached

i tot u mean by cant see the building polygon coz just see black color landscape besides the road.

the higher the number, the faster transfer rate to be.
So, class 6 is much more better than class 2.

Sometimes, just format the SD card and reinstall those application will solve the problems, but not sure about yours

many of u encounter problem with class 2 SD card, and i strongly believe it is due to the transfer rate problem. So make sure u get a better rating SD card when u purchase it in the bundle box.

Open up your phone back casing, remove the battery, u will see a nokia sticker with IMEI no and Product Code. The product code will identify which zone ur unit belong to.

u need to check your set product code
If APEC1, then u can update via FOTA only

Check few post back for the product code matter, it has been discussed b4.
