Hi guys.

Planning to get a new laptop. The models that struck me are the following:

1.A42JV - I450W - 14” - Asus
2.CQ42 - 291TX - 14” - Compaq

I want use it for some decent gaming, plus for work, watching movies, the works.

Could any of you sifus recommend me which one to get from the 2 models
? Initially was reviewing the Compaq one quite a bit, and thought of getting it already. But then the Asus one caught my attention quite abit as well. as loads of people were talking about it being quite a decent lappy and all.

Any suggestions? Feedback very much appreciated.

Is it true that both HD5650 and Gt335M is still better than GT425M?

on paper.. nope.. as GT425 spec is better than both of them..

But the benchmarks now say otherwise due to immature drivers. So you'll have to wait a few months to see improvement.

Meh just wait.. GT420M is better than GT330M already

It is really weird if you guys see this benchmark results, GT335M and HD5650 is well ahead. lolz. Only GT445M is really top.

relax.. GT 445 is really super graphic card.. of course it is win..

btw.. on paper GT 425 is better than GT335 and HD5650.. just in case, wait for stable and suitable driver..

The thing is even game benchmarks shows same thing GT335M is ahead.



The first is Resident Evil 5
Second is Street Fighter 4
Third I dunno lol
Fourth is HAWX
Fifth is FarCry2
Sixth is Starcraft 2

All the FPS shows higher speed on GT335M. Wonder why ah?

my dear friend. look up, we had explained more than 3 times. its because immature driver!!! u keep ask why, we keep answer cuz driver immature. tell ya, even gt420m will beat gt335 and hd5650 IN FUTURE with driver update. pfft.

Lolz, I understand liao, must be Nvidia keep the GT420M score low to clear out as many old GT335M first. After that Nvidia releases new drivers for GT420M and zoooomm ahead of GT335M.

Nope, this is a very weak GPU, it can only run Modern Warfare smoothly in low settings.
