you can try, but not necessary the latest bios can unlock.
amd notice this thing and may come out with newer bios to disable this feature. unsure.gif

any sifu ever done anything on x2 250? its a locked multiplier. scared to use other method. is there any stable way to do it? if got any tools or utility application. the AMD overdrive won't work with my processor.

Overclock to the highest it can. Actually I want to upgrade. Cpu is now my bottleneck in gaming.try overclock and if its spoiled, buy new cpu.hehehe the problem is I don't know how. Bios also can't do..

I try to unlock Phenom 2 X2 555 BE but fail
I currently using Gigabyte GA-MA-785G-UD3H with update bios.The bios system have success to unlock but it fail to boot up with windows 7 ,keep restarting from the start up logo


I have check with my cpuz ,it show below

according to the gigabyte website this motherboard should be SouthBridge SB710

Maybe ur unlockable core didnt stable. Not at all Black Edition cpu are unlockable
