fundamental of amd core unlocking
u must have..
1-sb750/710 for 700series.. core unlocking feature for 800series, and NVACC for nvidia chipset..
2- motherboard that capable of it..some motherboard quite picky..
2- bios that capable of it..latest bios will do now..
3- quite healthy core hidden..

er..anything i missed out?

yeah maybe u get a wrong batch to unlocking a 4th core but u have nothing to lose man..unlock 4th core also not very save if u using normal cpu cooling coz it will disable the core temp..just try luck in OCing.. brows.gif

MSI 770 C45 BIOS 1.6
AMD Phenom X2 555BE
3Gb Kingston DDR1333
Silverstone SST400

Fail. Can't unlock 4 cores.
When I enable to choose cores. Only able to select 2 cores.
So, how am I going to unlock the third?

Btw, how to update the MSI motherboard via windows? I don't have floopy disk ... sweat.gif

Yeap. Right now play with overclocking first.
Unlocking very troublesome & there's alot of values to play with. Somemore got 4 cores to adjust. Everytime fail need to reset cmos.
