Have been eyeing this for some time.... I plan to use it in my bedroom, hook up to NAS in the living room. Can I play from NAS directly, copy files to /from NAS into the HDD, etc?

nope. only the core DTS track..

anyway what you mean by play? internal decode to LPCM or pass thro (bitstream)
